I think its hilarious how much emphasis modern P.C builders put on fan noise. I have never once noticed the fan noise of my computer while gunfire and explosions are happening all around me during game play.
I can't wait to see all the builds with Intel-AMD and AMD-AMD. If you don't require CUDA or are not incredibly invested into RT, then these are amazing options. $999 is still really dang expensive but compared to $2000+ Nvidia is offering on scalper markets then yeah it is a incredible deal.
The 4080 is """only""" $1200 and still performs (slightly) better than this card, especially with RT on...but overall, the difference is so negligible that it really doesn't justify buying a 4080 for +$200 more so this is definitely the better deal
@@triv4555 nah the performance comparison is showing off the xtx with broken drivers once they fix that it will outperform it quite a bit but ya the 4080 is still really exceptional

Im sorry to tell you that the 4080 although better features wise is a bit lacking in the long run as the ray tracing cores are underutilized as they haven’t developed the software but yes “outperform” is not the right word but in some ways it already does outperform it I think in a month it will be on the same level if not very close
I'm going to upgrade my 3080ti to 7900xtx i never use RTX and make my 5 computers in my house network all AMD and just put the nvidia video card's in the storage with the rest of my computer part's.
I recently swapped to a Air cooler, had 3 AIOs go wrong on me so just went with a good old Noctua nh-d15 for my 5950x and havent looked back works a treat and so simple and to my tastes its really asthetic as well!

I play MW2/Warzone 2 at 4K on a 144hz panel, and this basically sold me on the 7900XTX as that's the game I probably play the most. Thanks for showing the numbers! Beats the crap out of my 3090FE.
Literally the ONLY reason to buy this card. Not talking shit, TONS of people play these games but, I just wish the card was optimized better for more games. AMD better have some incredible driver updates to make this worthwhile outside of warzone.

On top of the Bench Marcus results. I'm excited to see where AMD drivers team comes up with. I bet it'll be massive and start to hurt the 4080 into the ground. Even with non FSR titles like metro exodus, their Radeon Adrenaline Super Resolution might be a good Band-Aid for no FSR native titles.
overtime the 7900xtx has gained performance and now performs in dx12/vulcan title the same as the 4080 and in some titles better, especially in 1440 and 4k. which was a very pleasant surprise. the 7900xt is even as powerful as being able to run medium rtx on cyberpunk 4k at 60-90fps in 4k. at least thats what i was observing between my friends computers, i would say for a card that is 200--300 bucks cheaper thats insane
I have a PS5 for single player story games and I use my PC for FPS games. If I needed a new card, which I don't my 3060 ti is still doing it's job, I'd probably go for AMD this time around
The thing is RT has been around for a long time and it took Nvidia doing software and hardware hacks to get it working well. Was never meant to be in games at least not with the current hardware we have. When games are able to start running them without compromises and not having to use DLSS or FSR I'll jump to RT.
1:03 4090 is so big fat and ugly. Imagine when GPU tech become so tiny and efficient less heat, that trash will look outdated. Even today it looks outdated.
I had a 3080 for 2 years and currently have a 4090 and never use ray tracing because the performance hit in multiplayer. If i start playing single player games I'll use RT.. If this card came out first, i probably would just use that.
One of the reasons I sold my RTX 2060super and switched to an RX6800 besides the garbage performance on the 2060super even without RT. Literally almost every game I own doesn't have RT or DLSS. I believe only one game I owned has RT.
LOL i have 4090 too and for me has no RT performance hit even with DLSS off most titles I run 4k maxed ray tracing never ever hit below 80 - 90 fps most cases I'm hitting 110 120 with DLSS on almost double that in in FPS count. We have to consider the price here everyone is talking 999 for the XTX in UK and in France that price has already risen to £1200 and 1399 euros.
I got a 4080 FE for £1200 and the cheapest 9700xtx was around the £1030 mark. The 7900xtx has slightly better rasterisation on average. But the 4080 has better RT, DLSS 3, is quieter and uses less power. It also has GSync which matters if you have a gsync only monitor. It was a tough call but I decided to go with the 4080.
I hope so, as the 6000 series drivers matured they introduced fan speed errors on my 6600. It now runs at 100% unless I manually set a fan curve. If I use Windows drivers the problem goes away.
Man the Sky Two is still gorgeous, but why is every youtuber who use the new Sky Two use beefy air tower coolers? I wanna see the bad boi with an AIO in it.
I wish that reviewers would leave FSR and DLSS off for testing. I'd like to see how to card does at native resolutions, obviously it will be better when using some kind of upscaling. It's not real 4K if it's upscaled.
@@Cipher_XoF Upscaling is not real 4k. I'm not dissing FSR or DLSS (I usually have them on myself). When doing serious testing, we should only consider the performance of the card itself, without any software tricks, can produce. For example, if you say that an AMD card with FSR Quality gets higher fps than an Nvidia card with DLSS Quality really doesn't say much about the cards themselves. They work differently and therefore are not comparable. Quality upscaling can look better than native with TAA, but that is subjective to the viewer and only true in certain games. For testing, it is just one more variable that should be eliminated. Graphics drivers between AMD and Nvidia are themselves technically a variable as well, but you can't really do anything about that. To be fair, this video isn't even supposed to be a deep analysis of the 7900 xtx in relation to other cards.

Just upgraded myself 2600 > 7600x and 1660ti > 7900 xtx and its smashing 4k left and right, slight cpu bottleneck I think but the plan is to switch to an x3d when they release next year!
Thank you for mentioning the CPU combination with GPU. I just built system with an old GPU and Ryzen 7600X and planning to purchase 7900XTX with possible upgrade to Ryzen 7900X in about 4 months. Without any benchmarks somehow I guessed it wont need the TOP END Ryzen 7950X all the youtubers promote so much. Apart from syntetic benchmarks I havent seen any comparsion where 7950X would benefit over 7900X in gaming.

Yeah and on average your paying 1K more for the 4090. The 7900XTX doesn’t even have FSR 3.0 yet and on top of that AMD tends to release drivers that give you way more performance later on.
@@ZackSNetwork Not true in the slightest...GPUs these days have become so advanced that you can buy a ~$650 - $700 card and still be perfectly fine to game on Medium-to-High settings in most games. But if you like taking out mortgage payments to buy the most overkill card you can find, suit yourself lol, more power to you friend
good build, however you shouldnt be advocating the use of the PCI cable as you are, as they are only rated for 150w power. So should be showing people to install with 2 cables.
I have never used AMD Graphics before. I am building a PC right now, and I will be putting the 7900 XTX and 7900X in this go around. Nvidia needs a kick in the ass for the way they have treated their own customers this time. I usually buy the 80 series or 80TI series GPUs, but one thing the pandemic taught me is I don't really need the latest and greatest. I have been using my 1080TI for so damn long and my monitor right now is only 3440 x 1440p. That is the next thing I will upgrade, but I want 4k 21:9 to be easily run before I do that. I just love that aspect ratio for gaming. I won't be buying Nvidia again until they treat people better. Hopefully Intel will be able to compete soon as well. I think this chiplet idea might help their to be a lot more competition soon.
I dont trust aio anymore, had the 360r v2 aio msi and it broke in a few months, same thing with my corsair aio. Went back to the old trusty heatsink that costed me $100 and it does the same amount of cooling.
Your forgetting that the high frame rates Nvidia showed off on their cards was with DLSS 3.0 which makes fake frames . AMD has FSR 3.0 coming soon along with new drivers to give you more performance for a 1K less then the 4090 and 200 less than the 4080.
@@badbot4ever566 Let's see what Nvidia does with their pricing the coming days. With Nvidia I have already seen and experienced the 4090 with 80+ FPS on 4k with RT (no DLSS 3.0 yet). Was hoping for more like wise performance from the 7900 XTX in current state, but it is not even close and hardware limited it seems too.
@@randylommerse7236 the 7900XTX wasn’t meant to compete withe 4090 it’s a 4080 competitor and in most games it’s neck and neck and in some games it beats the 4080.
So this card is basically a monster for 1440p high refresh rate gaming with 4k performance that's good enough, on par with a 4080 and rtx performance that's very near 4080. The 1440p beating the 4090 or being equal to it is a huge selling point for competitive gamers, as are the TRIPLE high bandwidth monitor ports, nvidia you only get 1 high bandwidth hdmi which is still 10% slower than DP 2.1
Raytracing is inferior on AMD’s new GPU’s as expected. The rasterization performance of the 4080 and 7900xtx are tied. Also DP2 is a gimmick because none of these new GPU’s are powerful enough to take advantage of its higher refresh rates it supports. AMD also loess in 1440p to the 4090 this is not Ampere vs RNDA2. It’s a step backwards for AMD and a step forward for Nvidia.
@@ZackSNetwork RTX is a gimmick and makes most games look worse, they absolutely push enough fps in 1440p to make full use of it. People have been lowering settings for decades to hit high framerates on both amd and nvidia cards, you do have settings other than just max at your disposal.
On the PCIe 4.0 vs. 5.0 argument, video cards are NOT using anywhere near the limit for PCIe 4.0 at this point, so if the video cards aren't using that much bandwidth, then where would you see a benefit? PCIe 5.0 on the M.2 slot would give you more of an improvement once the new SSDs show up(M.2 drives already come close to maxing out PCIe 4.0). DirectStorage from the video card to SSD, you would want both PCIe 5.0 video card and M.2 to see a benefit from that over PCIe 4.0.
Have you tried win 10 with the new amd cpus? I can’t get my gigabyte motherboard to find a nvme chipset driver which makes it impossible to install win 10.
i got that cooler except the more aesthetic “zero dark” version. it was my first build so i didn’t really find out how overkill it was for my measly 5700x lol. Its a good tho it works great
There are theories that drivers could improve massively in a year, upto 20% in a year, time will tell, would be nice to have another fine-wine card from AMD again!
