Just a few thoughts... 1) It would be much better to have two sticks of 4GB RAM running in dual mode than one 8GB stick, and much much better to be running two 8GB sticks in dual mode. This will give you at least 10% and up to 50% better performance from your RAM depending on what is being used to do. The Ryzen 3 3200G runs RAM at 2933MHz, but it is cheaper to run more available higher speed RAM. (DDR4 3200MHz 4BG - 1,100 Philippine Pesos/stick - which will underclock and run at 2933MHz) (DDR4 3200MHz 8GB - 1,900 Philippine Pesos/stick - which will underclock and run at 2933MHz) 2) The 128GB NVMe will operate at up to 1000Mhz read/800Mhz write. By using a 256Gb NVMe you will almost double that at 1800/1400 (or better) which WILL make a significant difference in performance for only about 1,000 Philippine Pesos more in price. 3) No need to buy/use a different cooler for the processor. The one that comes with it in the box is more than sufficient. So - my advice to anyone building a rig like this would be to use the boxed cooler, get two sticks of 4GB, or if possible 8 GB, DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and use a 256GB NVMe PCIe SSD. You will not be disappointed with the performance. Note: SATA SSDs are limited to 600MHz and will typically run at 500MHZ to 550MHz Read. 240GB SATA SSDs are available for around 1,500 Philippine Pesos. That is typically a FOUR to SIX times increase in data transfer speed over a mechanical hard drive. A 128GB PCIe NVMe SSD can be found for about that same price but will give you about 1,000MHZ Read. For about 2,500 Philippine Pesos you can get a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD which will run close to 2,000MHz Read.

You're welcome. If you are going to go with the PCIe NVMe SSD make sure BOTH the processor AND the motherboard support it. Do your homework. The motherboard needs a physical PCIe location to mount the NVMe directly on the motherboard or a PCIe X4 (or X8 or X16 will also work - X1 will only give you the same read/write as an SATA SSD) expansion slot and card. The APU or CPU will need to have the ability to access and boot to a PCIe NVMe SSD. Every motherboard and processor currently available should support a SATA SSD. SATA SSDs are a very good choice for laptops with mechanical hard drives in them and will speed them up considerably. SATA SSD + two sticks of (matching) RAM in a laptop = a very fast laptop - even the much older ones. I have "suped up" old laptops that are running DDR2 and DDR3 this way and they are actually quite fast - the bottleneck in speeds in these older laptops is the processor speed. Make sure the CPU cooling fan is in good condition if you "sup-up" an older laptop as the CPU will be working at 100% capacity much of the time. A tip for your Internet: Find out from your ISP what is the highest speed available to you. For me it is 500MB/s through PLDT (fiber) in the Philippines. To run at that speed you will need CAT 6a cables. CAT 6 would work, but the shielding in CAT 6a is very much worth the little bit of extra money. Also, if you use a network switch and don't plug directly into your router, you will need a 10/100/1000 switch. CAT 5 and most network switches (10/100) only operate up to 100Mb/sec. I do not recommend wireless connections unless there is no other option. For a long time my network speed was around 50Mb/s using a wireless dongle (my PC is not near my router and it was difficult to run a cable so I ran wireless for a long time) . When I discovered the speed available to me, added a 10/100/1000 switch to my router, and directly connected to my PC it was 10 (TEN) times faster!!!

Yes you can run your Internet that way, but the speed will be determined by the ISP (SMART in this scenario) - I would recommend that you contact them and ask what the maximum speed of that type of connection would be. Also ask them what alternatives they have available and what speeds they have. Smart Bro LTE Pocket WiFi shows (at their web site) that it is capable of up to 42MB/sec speed. CAT5 cable (which is very inexpensive) would be more than sufficient for this type of connection. I just looked at the Globe website and they have a number of plans that may be attractive to you with unlimited Internet access and much higher speeds: Up to 50MB/sec speed 1,500 pesos/mo. Up to 150MB/sec speed 2,099 pesos/mo (at this price PLDT offers 100MB/sec) Up to 300MB/sec speed 2,699 pesos/mo. (at this price PLDT offers the same speed) (CAT 6a should be used at speeds over 100MB/sec) *The device (prepaid wifi) would need to have an RJ45 (to use Cat 5, 5e, 6, or 6a) connection as well as the device you intend to run from it.* This type of connection is typical for laptops and personal computers (PCs). If you want to connect to a smartphone this way you will need an adapter to go from the CAT cable to the phone connection, but they are available - not sure if you will see an improvement in speed though - I have never tried it - the adapter cable may cause a limit of 100MB/sec or even less. If their (SMART) max speed is 100MB/sec. (which it likely is) then you only need CAT5 cable. However, you may want to buy CAT 6a anyway so if you upgrade your ISP (Globe or PLDT Fiber or something similar) you won't have to upgrade your cable as well. A320M-A Pro Max will support up to four (4) SATA devices including SATA SSDs. You can also run up to Generation 3 PCIe NVMe SSD mounted directly to that motherboard which would be four (4) times faster than the SATA SSD and not much more money. I would highly recommend a 256GB or 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD for this motherboard. SATA SSD will run at about 500MB/sec. @@justacanadian2547 ya but this guy hardly responds, that being said yes B450 AM4 motherboards work right out of the box with the 3000 series. most do have a flash bios button in case for whatever reason it doesn't read it properly, you'll know right away if a board detects something's off, but the 3000 series was meant for B450. though some B450 motherboards have been updated to support the 5000 series, but B550 is made specifically for the 5000 series. the 3200G for example won't work in a B550 motherboard without a graphics card installed, but it will work in a B450 motherboard.

omg why is there just 1 stick of ram. There will be quite a lot of performance missing, AMD CPUs are quite sensitive to not having a dual channel memory, please buy another stick of the same ram to gain more performance. Thank you, also get better cooler because CPUs with integrated graphics tends to make a lot more heat.

In my opinion instead of going for an m.2 go for a 960 gigabyte ssd 2.5 it's harder to install but a hell lot cheaper I'm going to get 1 for 92.00 and it's way better than and m.2 that costs more and has less gigs but you do you love your builds

In 2020, still building PCs with 1 memory stick despite motherboards/cpus working best with 2 sticks for Dual Channel...who are you building these PCs for? hi again, my casing is similar to yours. i noticed u put the 8 pin motherboard cable behind the motherboard. my case does have the hole at the corner but the corner is too small for my 8 pin mobo cable to fit in. so putting the 8 pin cable behind the motherboard is okay? thanks
