Poor Ame. In Ollies stream you could better hear the Controller die… Hope, she gets better and maybe do some kart streams in the future. How Ina was so good was mindblown.
iofi be like: you guys did some practice?!? yeah iofi truly suddenly just join the race without practice XD and basically iofi is not that into gaming stuff. shes more into talk stream and when it's gaming, she love the rythm game thing but in the end, they had so much fun. lot of screams n laughters in ID team. glad that calli is not there because she need to be quiet XD
Calli getting 7th place: "Yeah! Lucky number 7!" Ame getting 8th place: "This sucks! Mario Kart with items sucks!" Calli: "Guys how do I make the car go forward?" Ame: "Guys how do I win/put in a cheat code?" Calli getting 10th place: "Hey, it's not last!" Ame getting 10th place: "This is bullshit, it's the *ping*!"
It's true, you can even see the place marker that said 9th disappear for a couple of seconds and show nothing until she crosses the finish line in 10th... It really was the ping that screwed her over
@@mattm7220 It's been a bit since I've played MK8 but iirc, the place marker always disappears when you're about to cross the finish line, I assume to add suspense to close calls like that one. That being said tho, she did indeed get robbed.
I watched Risu's POV and from her point of view she overtook Ame right, like, picture perfect directly before the finish line. As soon as it happened I was like "oh boy Ame must be pretty salty right now"... had no idea that it looked completely different on her end lol
In the end of the tourney, Ame apologized for being salty and cussing while playing. And that's a good thing -because this is the calm before the EN x JP x ID MarioKart collab storm- and eventually got a Golden YAGOO award! Bit off-topic, how dare tenchou forgor our lovely Keris ⑨ like that lol
An international tourney would just be an even saltier time imo. Almost all of EN and ID are victims of either the skill gap or the race-practicing gap between them and the JP Holomems, no offense. I couldn't keep my rose tinted glasses on about it when watching them compete in a JP hosted tourney. They'd lose. And we'd be cheering them on knowing that they'd lose. If they just want a fun time together with the JP mems, a lower stakes event would do just fine.
ID team maybe the lowest, but they had so much fun there iofi even didnt practice at all. she just suddenly join the race... XD that's why she always 12. but maybe she also did that on purpose to make sure no one in the last position. good iofi. maybe.. edit: and plus, iofi is not into gaming stuff. but when it's gaming stuff, shes into the rythm games
"If Mario Kart was about pure driving I would win every race, but unfortunately my competitors insist on engaging in a great deal of unsportsmanlike behavior."
Risu timed a bullet bill to snipe 9th, but there was enough ping that from Ame's perspective that didn't happen yet. You can see it pretty well from her POV
No skill involved: Burns out at start line, falls of the map, hits into walls 😅 Edit: This was just meant as friendly banter between gamers, I love Ame 💛
@@Regularguy2nd I mean Mario Kart is a game designed for the best players to stay at the top to the best of their ability, while the weaker players are given better items so they can compete at all times (and so the best players always have to stay sharp instead of slacking off). Rewarding the best players with, say, a gold mushroom despite being the best would punish the weaker players. Saying there is no skill involved is really not understanding the game. It's like saying there is no skill in turn-based RPGs because you obtain a nuke, or because having, say, specific weapons, you instantly win. It undermines the fact you're still in an arena, you still have to drop HP to zero. Maybe she should have done what everyone else did and practiced?
Ame's eff you all genuinely made me laugh. Really felt the sincerity in her apology to everyone at the end. Mari Kart can literally bring out the worst in anyone/more so if you're already salty about losing.
"There's no skill involved when there's items" Funny thing is. I don't even really disagree. The amount of times I had to reset when chasing the 3-star rank on 200cc because a perfect run got wiped out by a blue shell ten inches from the finish line was f-wording cosmic. At least multiplayer doesn't have rubberbanding.
Yep, Mario Kart is forgiving to all skill player.. even experienced noob could win against experienced semi-veteran player as long as the noob get good items. In the other hand.. CTR is better in skill gap.
There's definitely many different skills and strats involved in races. I've seen some people that intentionally start 12th place so they can get the good items then slowly work their way up while holding onto bullets bills
@@EpicBlackflame07 That idea can still so easily get kicked in the head if you get hit by lightning or a ghost steals what you tried to hold on to. I said I don't really disagree, because; yeah, skill will still determine if you have the ability to move up the ranks, but so often when you're among the top three in a race you live or die by the RNG. As much as I enjoy Mario Kart: who thought it was a good idea to design a racing game where it's disadvantageous to take 1st place before the second half of the final lap? And even then you can still get nuked on the finish line and drop three places.
