Sylvia and John Powell were at the center of a legal and media firestorm, which lasted nearly a decade, 1953-1962, for reporting the horrific truth about America’s Korean War atrocities. The Eisenhower administration charged and tried them for sedition and with the Rosenbergs recently being executed in a frenzy of anti-communist hysteria, their fate was no laughing matter. US Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy finally called off the ideological dogs in 1962.
