When she was talking about how in the public system that every person that sees you is a lifeline I teared up. As someone who works in a community college, I always try to help students achieve their dreams and believe that they can do it. She's such a talent and very deserving of all these accolades. Her woman speech in Barbie was brilliant.

I’ve loved her since I watched “Real Women Have Curves” as a teenager (she deserved an applause from the audience when she mentioned it because that film was fantastic). I absolutely love her and I’m so happy for her and i think her being nominated for this role is so apropos when looking back on her career and everything she has stood for and her body of work. Ms Freitag was my teacher too but by then she had favorites, looked the other way at bullying, and was very unsupportive of anyone who wasnt a favorite- then the environment got so toxic that kids left the program and she left the school altogether. But of course she stays close to her prize student who definitely didnt need her…

Right now they, and their kids, are being attacked by neo-fascists determined to make basic decency a controversial culture war and political weapon. Teachers of the arts, who face budget cuts and can have more students who are deemed different, are especially critical in our times.

I stopped watching stuff on TV, when 'Ugly Betty' came out. But. I remember hearing the name America Ferrera and I was thinking she would be interesting to see. And. She didn't disappoint. The only other TV show, that I was thinking the same thing, was when I was watching a lot of TV and it was 'Ally McBeal.' That didn't disappoint either. She different. She even make Jimmy look a bit pretentious and he pobably know this about her, now, if he didn't before. She pretty cool. I hope she win big award. But. You never know. I not thinking I enjoy 'Barbie,' but maybe it worth watching.
