I disagree. It is not really sarcastic for the Greeks that you said. In my opinion it makes a point to relevant third parties by being sarcastic and judging the Greeks. The sarcasm is basically directed to third parties' point of views.

Its a kind of self sarcasm i believe. Of course the "white against black" part does not express any greek's views. It was just for fun

We hardly make such comments in Greece (we don't need to....it is common knowledge here). Here and there, you may hear a similar comment....only when the conversation directs it. Comments like the one you described are common in conversations with Greeks that live abroad and are proud of their culture, history and heritage.

i dont know if its a bad or a good thing but this is (most of) greeks' taste of humour... self sarcasm. It's like making fun of someone or ourselves is the funniest thing ever for us but in reality it can be really offensive to some people lol (yes im from greece)
