Because swans glide gracefully atop the water's surface (all the work happens with their feet below but they always look like they are floating), I believe this stage was meant to convey that.

Did you guys see that ARMYs donated over 44,000 meals to a charity that James Corden supports as a way to thank him for being one of the few to actually treat them and their art with respect over here? The org is called magic breakfast and they were going wild over how amazing the support from army was. That's BTSARMY culture - we say thanks by either giving back or paying it forward.

FYI about Suga: he may not be in the dance line but Suga used to bboy back in the day. During his trainee days while he was still attending college, because they were poor his parents couldn’t send him money for tuition, Suga did a part time job as a food delivery boy not telling the company about it. he would do it after school and training. One night he had an accident and dislocated his shoulders, he was afraid he will be kick out of the company so he didn’t tell anyone after a few days the staff noticed he was hurt, he could bare the pain he told them what happened. Instead of being kicked out and scolded. Bighit told him they will pay his tuition and that they will wait till he recovers. Thus, the end of Suga’s bboy days. 💜💜💜

This staging will always be iconic, and the song itself masterful. Grammys don't want this kind of act, because they show up what western artists offer, and outshine it. As a matter of routine, they outshine, not because they are trying to compete - they have no competition - but because it is routine for BTS to forever aim to outshine themselves and perpetually give more than we can expect.

They ARE the black swans. They are the in the darkness of the shadow. This was the performance that would have been performed at the Grammys if they hadn't been snubbed. The wester music market doesnt deserve BTS. They aren't ready to concede to their greatness. Sorry I get irritated when I think of how hard the gatekeepers work to suppress them in the US music market.

You wanna know something bruh Jimin is the only member with a background in contemporary dance. You wanna know something else Jin and RM had zero dance experience before BTS. You wanna know something else these guys still look amazing and in sync Everytime. In BTS everyone is apart of the dance line point blank period.

It’s nice to see Jimin in his element with contemporary dance since he went to school for it and was #1 in his class. They all were sooooo good! Especially RM and Jin, I’m proud of how far they’ve come in dancing.

This was literally me when I saw RM dancing in the back! I was like to all of y'all haters saying my bias can't dance, HERE YOU GO LOOK AT HIM. I'M SO PROUD.
