this movie is so realistic. this should become a real film. it reminds me of the Clint Eastwood western movies. keep on doing work like this and you will become rich

I used to watch these video's so much when I was young, and after a few years the video's still look very well madem although the humor is obviously directed at a younger adience. You alone got me interested in animation though and I just want to congratulate you on your amazing work.
I remember first downloading and watching America: Outlawed from brickshelf probably around 2009 or 2010. Again and again, I watched it's 4 parts on youtube... and, even to this day it's still one of, if not my absolute, favorite brickfilm. Just today, I noticed that you had re-uploaded it - all in one concise part, might I add. :) And, while I did see "The Force Awakens" for the first time this afternoon (and really, really enjoyed it), I'd have to say that watching this again was the highlight of my day. You, Doug Vandegrift, crafted a story that's both dark at times, yet also funny, and overall really enjoyable. That's why this brickfilm has stood out to me for all these years... I really like the different credits at the end (along with the few little sound effects) that you've added this time around! And, that "to be continued..." tagline really brought my spirits up, especially this close to Christmas! I certainly look forward to the sequel, whether it comes tomorrow, 5 months from now, or even a decade later! I just thought I'd say thanks, to you, for making this. I love watching it time and time again, and, after just watching it here again today (in all its "special edition" glory), I realize that I really do need to watch it more often! :)
Doug, thank you for remaining active in your passion for brick filming. You have done it justice once more. Most people just make lego stopmotion videos with flashy effects and action but on top of good animation I mostly love your creative stories. I've been watching your content before I even had a youtube account. Know that you were a part of my childhood!
I just keep coming back watching this masterpiece, already on first image of that tree I got shivers down the spine ! So good memories with those lego sets !
Can't believe it's been 10 years since this gem came out! This is still one of the greatest brickfilms of all time, and may just be my favorite brickfilm. It's got a great pacing, the animation is solid, and the characters are oozing with imagination, spirit, and memorability. I'd love to see a sequel sometime. :) Although, the ending of America: Outlawed is just about as flawless of a climax as you can get! :) I'm glad to be able to still keep coming back to it after all of these years. :) I know I'll still be watching this for many years to come.
in the first few seconds of the movie, I'm just like "ewe, that's bad animation." but then within a minute I just start to fall in love with the story and voice acting. Honestly, this is such a great movie!😃

This was amazing I love how you used all the vintage weastern sets and themes it’s my all time favourite them and it’s sad that it doesn’t get any recognition so you served the theme well with this film , keep up the good content 👏🏼👏🏼 :)
This reminds me of my imagination! like the wild west setting is stuff I dreamed about while I was young, this has the things that made the lego movie good. In a nutshell, great movie 10/10!

Honestly, probably one of my favorite brick films. It’s primitive yes, but it feels like a movie, and still stands. Even if it has some racist bits to it- And it has one of my favorite aspects of a brick film, which is taking the story lego created, and expanding on it. A lot of these films just take these characters and do pretty different stuff with them, but this takes the basic plot and characters of the western theme, and puts them into an expanded story.
+Red Hood Indeed. However the project has had some disastrous happenings. I'm trying to use a new capture system with DSLR and new software. The results have not been satisfactory and I have had to go back and redo animations. This has halted the large project of Zelda for now until I can figure out a better workflow. I have a script already to go but Zelda deserves top quality and I want to deliver. But I am alone doing this and don't get paid for it. I'm no forestfire after all :(
MonkeyDumplings Not really, I don't have the numbers of viewers to hire help let alone buy lego sets. I'm lucky if I get $50/month, but I am saving up the money and working on the projects
I forgot about your channel until I replayed Majoras mask again today. I remembered the zelda project and got a flood of memories about you and the channel. Great work man, your animations made younger me want to animate. If the zelda project is still running can somebody tell me, the teaser for it was taken down so I do not know :|
