@Rodney 1984 I played both quite a bit, but nothing came close to the original. Playing bridge for hours and hours. I wish they didn't change it from the original, but it just turned toxic and cheating was rampant.
@@KVTMustang Yes people still play this. I do play 2.8.5 and 2.5 version, sometimes there are like 30 people on, and on 2.8.5 u can always play on bot maps.
I used to play this back when I was a teenage boy! Bro it would be hoooooooouuuuurs. Then you grow up and you have a gf, rent and barely have time to game. I learned dropshots with the m203 to the opposite tower stairs, the opposite bridge side and the middle top. I could also spam the saw in the beginning of the match and kill one or two unsuspecting noobz. As we used to say back in the day "pwned" My favorite maps were MOUT, bridge, mountain pass, radio tower, sf hospital, and farm raid. Farm raid was one of those maps where I believe I learned assault tactics that made me into a great tactician well into today lol. You had to land from a parachute and keep crawling for a good 5 minutes or so to get close enough to the enemy and the objective. Otherwise you'd die within 10 seconds of landing. After a while I started playing Insurgent Camp and met my clan, ^Ds- (Destruction Squad) If you played IC early 2000s to 2004 you might have seen us all in one team completely sweeping the other team. Eventually they released AA3.0. The game was soooo demanding I remember most people's PCs had trouble running it in decent quality. I was lucky my brother was into IT and had built us a decent PC. I got to love the farm map and played that mostly and also Impact and Alley. At some point I fell of PC gaming and started gaming with my friends more on my PlayStation. I started with PlayStation 2 slim. And this is where I am now with PlayStation 5! Although i mostly game on exclusives I just recently picked up the amazing game that is Insurgency Sandstorm! And....I still got it! Thanks to AA I am still that quick thinking tactician and the other day I had a match with 49kills and 3 captures (we still lost) I hope that I didn't waste my team writing all this and someone finds it amusing! oh man I still kind of remember those drop shots, certing point of the road at the start along with getting next to the small fence and aiming at a certin poitn in the sky. good times! I learned so much in this game back then (I think I played 2.6 mostly) that I use to this day in gaming, the SF training legit had good advice that is 100% applicable to survival games today and so much more. I remember not liking 3 when it came out, and that is when I stopped for the most part. such good memories.

We had dial up through Compuserve, and an online gaming ping of 140-180 was considered a good day. My household didn’t upgrade to dsl until around 2006 or 2007
@@Maniac_987 broo bridge was my map man!! I mainly did bridge, bc2 and sf hospital. Theyre still playing but there arent many players so the map rotation is pretty limited as its decided by votes. But yeah those were good times man. Wish i had better capture software back then to save some memories lol
I think i got this game at 1.9 and there was a little community of people who played and didn't want to download the lastest version. And it went like that for every update. I only played this map too. And I liked the sniper or the G.
Everybody liked the sniper or G😂😂 Except for the m82, no1 wanted that heavy recoil thing. Ye the rebellious staying on prev versions was hilarious in hindsight. I settled for 2.8.5 playing mostly bridge, bridge se, sf hospital and i think dusk. Good times man
I and my kid bro used to play all day long back in 2005 to 2007. l was so addicted by this game and i loved it. Do you guys think l can download the same version now? Isntead the proving ground which is the new one lol. Cheery

I played in a server called: Anti-Clan and another called called: ToRo from Spain. They banned me in Toro because I told them that it is bad to kill bulls hahahaa

I honestly cant remember. I think there was a way to fill certain maps with AI by using console commands, again im not sure. But normally you would only play against other players. The game has long gone underground tho. Im not even sure people can still play it these days.
