As a huge America fan I’m so surprised that I have never seen this video clip. I have always loved watching Wil Leacox play percussion on this song, especially live in concert, because it’s so unusual. Rest in peace Dan Peek, Wil Leacox and David Dickey.

No auto voice . These guys are hnique in trading iff lead vocals during. the song . The instruments are same as used in studio except the fender rhodes piano. The bassist line is vital in this song on the break. The vocals a so well arranged. Great band and songwriters.

Ellos si que tocaban y cantaban de verdad, muy poca tecnología y en vivo y en directo, ya no quedan de estos grupos, admirables.

Good 'ol Dewey Bonnell, his guitar solo is the only instrument OR voice that sounds locked in/closest in sound to the original studio cut. Now lets hear 'Ventura highway' or 'Tin man' please.

Ya, from his 'All things must pass' era circa 1970 ish. I'm almost about to hear him sing 'Wah wah' at any moment, a Masterpiece of Harrison's with Phil Spectors 'wall of sound' production..Robert at 68.

It fares much better with the Fender Rhodes than with the piano, but anyway they tried reggae way before the Wailers had become a legend. Good song.

Well both instruments were on the original studio recording, so both sound appropriate here too

Who's the Marc Bolan looking dude (T-Rex fame) in the soundbooth at the last few seconds, is that him?!..'Bang a Gong' fame from 1970, must be killing time with his studio imput...LOL!! Robert at 68.

It looks live, but their axes aren't plugged in.
@quicksite
@quicksite 7 лет назад
Actually they are- look closer. Definitely Gerry playing piano- it's imperfect and diff than studio recording... Guitars: Dewey: 00:50 "Treat me right"- see his guitar cord?... and as camera moves there are the amps, behind Gerry... 1:29 bass-man's cord ... 1:44 Dan- guitar cord feeding behind ... Voices are for certain live... It's live allright, but oddly the TV show uses that notorious music fade/ applause-up technique at the end which makes it appear to be synced...
@mdhunter0366
@mdhunter0366 6 лет назад
Quicksite, Agreed, you can also see that the Bass player I believe, David Dickey is plugged in also. : )
