Really enjoyed this doc. The Enya music was used by Ansett Australia in the mid 90s before American used it in the 2001 post 9/11 adverts. Nice to see the Qantas plane at LHR.

Ah you were lucky! I flew AA 777-200er business class from CDG-JFK, and I couldn't get a prelanding meal due to the winter turbulence over the Atlantic (flying Jan 2024).

Flew AA flagship business from LHR-DFW in June, 2022. It was fabulous, just as you said. Had flown to LHR on BA, was not impressed at all. AA hands down from here on out.

i also miss the A330 that flew that route. i remember that the cup holder was so big you could put a full size bottle of wine in it and only the neck of the bottle would be showing. was the walk from the plane to immigration long now as it took me 15 minutes to get there from the plane going up and down stairs when i did it, and i was the first one to get to immigration from the plane

Excellent report and excellent footage. I’m glad it’s back up. I do appreciate the travel sounds and the use of captions instead of audio commentary. My only comment is that it would be nice if the description said what kind of camera equipment you used.

Great video. Question about the 777 are the toilets smelly as I have flew on the dreamliners more of late so I noticed they didn't smell. Amazing video I'm hoping on my flight back I may get an upgrade to Heathrow

Wow, a whole hour before time?? Overall the flight does look very good, actually. Food and drinks options could be better (I am comparing with Qatar). To answer to your last question, I will still take the NighetJet (Austrian) over AA flagship business, and that's because I love trains way too much.

Great trip report, I truely enjoyed ! I have been avoiding US carriers for decades...but this really does look like a product i could enjoy. I liked the cabin..and was surprised about your comment about a relaxed service approach of US carriers. What i read and saw before was one of the very reasons for preventing me from flying US carriers. Most disturbing for me was their strict policy to force pax to close windows during day flights. I understand that AA sent a memo a year ago to crew requesting them to stop this practice. How was it on your flight? I saw a dark cabin...I never had traditional corned beef, but read it has a salt and sour(???) flavouring?? I like Kassler, though. Kind regards!

Doc, did you get a pre takeoff drink? I flew Delta last summer in business and never got one. Airlines always used to if you were in first class or business, great video as always

yes; you could choose water, orange juice or sparkling wine as pre-departure drink
