Out of all the guard dogs the Akitas are the quickest to respond in protecting their owners. It's funny becuase I never see them move fast except when attacking. They seem to take their job very seriously, I would bet that many of them would tend to over protect.
Funny, I have strangers approach my Akita all of the time and try to pet him! I'm like " hey wtf are you doing, if he bites you I'm not liable", these are the people that don't know what he is. The people that do know what he is cross the street to the other sidewalk and yell "hey nice Akita" haha. Haven't had Christmas at my house for the 3 years after we got him so everything worked as planned.
It is a show like Dog 101 or "Breed all about it" in Russian. The dogs are Russian-bred American Akitas. The narrator says that it is a solid, strong and, when trained properly, is very polite and well behaved dog, which will protect it's owner viciously and is suspicious to strangers. It is a working dog, trainable and smart, if trained as a guard it attacks both legs and hands of the offender, suitable for being a bodyguard dog as well. It is muscular, powerful, beautiful and intelligent dog.
They can bite without showing signs that’s the biggest problem with them, they are unpredictable around strangers. Very loving towards the family but I don’t trust them with strangers at all, they are the silent hunters nd don’t like to bark unnecessarily, hot/ humid climate is not just their cup of tea😜
I love these dogs they KNOW the guy in the suit is gonna do something, they probably think it's funny (oh, there he goes again, but I know he's a Friend lol)
They are some of the smartest breeds around. But get bored real easy so they need to remain active with there owners. Once they make that bond with their owner its for life.
Good work. It's hard to train an akita to do this. They are much better with the "attack" command then with the "release". I like the development of their "instinct" training in this video. Even though I am an akita owner, I would rather train a GSD or a Rottie for this type of work. I find they are not as stubborn and more willing to please than the Akita. Then again, most Akitas have pretty good instincts and will protect you when needed without any training whatsoever : )
I had a professional guard dog trainer tell me it's a bad idea to train an Akita as a guard dog. He said their instincts are strong enough they need no training. I can vouch for that, after the fact. My Akita saved me from getting mugged one night on our walk. He sensed something I didn't, started rear guarding like he was born with the ability (never trained him for protection) which got my attention. Turned around, we were being followed. The teenage kid peeled off when he saw me turn around, but my Akita stayed on alert. Walked over to get under some light, Akita still skittish, so I let some leash out and let him do his thing. The teenage kid had been trying to sneak up on us from the other side of the small building we had gone to for the light. I let my Akita out fully on his leash, and his stance was as aggressive as I've ever seen it. I will never know what my Akita showed this kid (bared teeth, look in his eye, who knows?) but the kid muttered, "Oh no, don't do that ..." and turned tail and ran. My boy got extra treats that night when we got home from the walk ...
My neighbors akita defends me while I fish. Last month he failed when a lake monster approached, he barked several times before shrieking and running away in fear. It turned out to be a beaver dragging a large floating tree or branch close to shore. But I'm sure had he not been there I would be sending this text from davy jone's locker, and very dead. He also consumed a baby diaper that night and gave me pin worms, which is awesome. I think he says his name is tommy but I don't speak japanese.
I picked one up a few weeks ago from a reputable breeder, and I did not know they all come with pocket protectors that also contain simple texas instrument solar powered calculators along with ink pens that use black gel ink. I queried the breeder about this and she stated that they are an Asian breed so they are naturally good at math, pocket protectors and calculators are a part of their genetic makeup, also that they have a rudimentary understanding of algebra.
I also am more dangerous than my dogs. And as so much my bark has been determined to be the equivalent of that of a 3 year old girl, and I often become comatose after about 3 seconds in any situation that stimulates excitement, I am also told that my high pitched scream really does frighten off aggressive creatures, it is said to be similar to that of the mythological creature known as a Succubus, and may even hold the power to shatter glass objects.
Nice dogs but I don't have to encourage mine to attack. He is smart enough to figure out who is a threat on his own. Most people won't approach my dog or my home after just seeing him. I'm more dangerous than the dog so I guess it's all relative.
Love the Akita, intelligence is the ultimate security system. Beauty of the Akita is just a welcomed side effect of perfection, they really are closer to perfection than we can be. Heaven forbid an old person with Parkinson's, should ever attempt to shake your hand! However heaven will stop when you say akita no! You must pay close attention with Akita, and give orders! Akita will destroy to save you first! They are awesome and intelligent, they will honor their own first and only.
That actually did happen, but it always amazes me how they are so focused in this video, I've never seen any trained guard dogs show as little hesitation as these 2, in defense of their owner. My neighbors dog may be half coyote but it's his half akita that makes him enjoyable to be around, just not after eating a random diaper. Akitas like to have your hand in their mouth and pin worms fucking suck. I powdered him with food grade diatomaceous earth and he was so shamed I haven't seen him since.
christian conway See, it's simple, grab a few and bring them over and breed them. Nooow the process might be a little complicated but simple to understand. :D
The last time I was attacked the aggressor was foolish enough to refer to me as female genitalia, I immediately let out a Succubi scream which must have been horribly intimidating becuase he ran away as fast as he could, this was also so powerful that I blacked out and then woke up in a pool of my own urine. I guess I just don't know my own strength, and I am very relieved that everyone involved survived. Possessing super human abilities is not as easy as others may think.
