A lot of American Akitas (Shepkitas) are all bark and no bite..I own one..a big baby who lives with 6 cats..barks at a new man or person and is either afraid of the man and always wants to play with the dog..heart of a kitten..and loud bark but scared cat..lol
We have Akita and a Husky they play fight for hours sometimes. Dont think a Rotti would keep up with the energy levels. Our friends staffy gave up after about 20 mins and hide under his owners chair shell shocked. Our eldest Husky got bit on tail as a pup by a Rotti. After that Rottis were definately on the on her hate list.

I have a 125 pound Akita and this is just a puppy. My first male was a killer at this age. Had to muzzle him when l took him out. Give this one on the video some time and and it's done for this Rot. He's standing his ground unlike the Rot.
@jacobramos315 my American Akita got jumped by our neighbors crazy Japanese Akita who escaped from their garden, he attacked ours neck first but my dog who is smaller than theirs got him in a submission position in seconds and won the fight. When my brother ran back home our dog didn't stop barking and crying and I was sure he is going to die but he came out victorious and the other dog was in total shock that someone can actually stand against him. There was a trail of blood leading to mine but most of the blood came out of his mouth, meaning that other fucker got what he deserved. They took him to the vet immediately.
Been around Akitas since 1981. Never met an aggressive one..protective of their owners... yes. That said. All of the ones I met were well trained and socialized.
@@jhaych I think if a dog's tail is wagging to their left it means they are happy but wagging to the right means they are distressed. This beautiful Akita pup was trying to play I think judging by the direction its tail was wagging and the Rottie was a little nervous at the end. Both gorgeous breeds though!
That Akita will lose its mind and literally kill the rott. They have huge paws and Knock dogs down and go for throat immediately. Akitas hate all animals baisically. Idk why but it not cool as it makes having one tough. Not to mention losing that winter coat. Talk about shedding. My lord.

Frankly I don’t want dogs to Abe hurt each other and could care less what dog will win in fights etc. they are both capable breeds. Akitas will never back down either. @MybeautifulandamazingPrincess If you doubt it you should be very careful, because that Akita would kill the rottie in a couple of seconds. Rotties are great but no match for an Akita Akitas are on an entire different level.
@Avstro947 You have to be fearless around such breeds as they will challenge and test you at some point.. both my American Akita did and my Caucasian Shepherd.. you show any fear they will sense it and think they are Alpha and you will have big problems

I had Nikita when I got them and it was only 100 pounds two years old walking him down the street and there’s a long driveway from my house and four dogs come running down. He turns the face all his hair goes up. The four dogs turned around and ran back
This is incredibly dumb those dogs shouldn’t have met unless you know the guy well because they could’ve gotten in a fight at any moment and even tho people think Akita would beat the rot in a fight but there biased their literally saying that they love the Akita no one knows who will come out on top but no one should also care because a dog fight is no joke

My Akitas never barked... they just went. It was part of the reason I had to choose a different breed :( They are extremely difficult to socialize, but the best dogs on Earth at home.
@@danielivo5313 that was my experience. I had 3 girls, and they all behaved the same with dog aggression. Anything but submission from another dog was met with an attempt to pin the other dog. No hair up, tail tuck, ear drop, or raised lips / growl, just extremely brief eye contact and then it was a dominance contest they didn't intend to lose. Incredible dogs if you had no intention to take them outside of their own pack.
That’s a puppy Akita wanting to play, an Akita that’s ready to go just goes, they don’t even growl. They can go 0-100 in 0 seconds. No noise, they just go straight kill.
This is what you get when 2 owners dont have enough leadership to handle strong dog personalities! Akita would never bark in this situation! He would be calm on the ground! As they do, correct this behaviour, because otherwise he wont listen when he grows up, and thats very dangerous, especially for other dogs.....

I owned 2 Akitas once (at 2 different times) in back in them days we would let the fight it out ""its was 50/50 but the Rottweiler would always come showing defeated because the Akita had that thick coat for amor 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 no I don't dog fight now but as a kid in the early 90's we got a kick out of the different breed of dogs in the neighborhood fighting as always no disrespect intended New York City USA 🇺🇲

Me and my Akitas have heard 'he just plays like that' one too many times. Well, my Akitas don't play. Only with me and my family. You cannot say hi, and keep your fkn dog away.

You always have to careful handling larger dogs yes the Akita was very confident and that could be interpreted either as a display of dominance or just being playful
