Love how behind its comical aspect, this clip is actually metaphoric of Guts's Epic journey. He keeps moving forward while letting almost all the characters he met behind, whether because they died or betrayed him along the way. Every step he makes plunges him a bit more into darkness, still he continues and never looks back or hesitate on his way. Embracing this no-return path to hell with an assured step. His innocence and dreams are long gone, but Guts's will to keep fighting seems to remain unbreakable.

But they should because it's not just about creating a song that better matches the aesthetic and content of Berserk. When I had a brain tumor at 15 and I felt like death was another damned seizure away I would pop in my Berserk DVD and listen to Waiting so long. The closing song. I love how each of the characters have their personalities put into an office getup. Griffith is that asshole who does no work but still gets to be top brass. Casca is there to clock you in. Slan is 100% the woman at the photocopier who always wants that extra favor. Your boy void is just chilling in style until that next role call to figure out why brand marketing is plummeting. I also like the touch of guts hair changing as he passes the berserker armor. If you thought offices sucked the life out of you try wearing that to work for the whole day when it's 120 and the AC is broken. Absolutely amazing.

It might be just my imagination, but I do like the fact how Guts changes over the course of the animation/manga. Even his mouth gets more of a scowl as animation goes on. It's such a small detail, but it hits JUUUUUUUST right!
