I almost peed myself laughing with the neglect/re-homing advert, that part that made me lose it was the baby Marmite and the fact they blurred the kids and dogs faces. Don't know why I found that so funny, but it was pure genius.

The joke with the mother breast feeding is that many British mum's used to give kids marmite on toast as their first solid food. It didn't do me any harm.

This morning, my 4 yr old daughter said at the breakfast table, “i don’t like marmite, look at the label it says made from bums!” She had us in tears laughing the cheeky little bugger, she definitely doesn’t have the gene, i always suspected she was swapped at birth! 😂

What a lot of people don't know is that Marmite is a great cooking ingredient even if you don't like it on it's own. Try a teaspoon in a beef stew for example and you may be surprised at the improvment in taste it makes.

Being 59 years old English and a long time lover of marmite these are all adds I love as it’s totally true that people love or hate it. I remember having a conversation over the phone years ago with my best friend from school oddly both having Crumpets for lunch. My friend was having jam and I marmite. A heated discussion followed with my friend getting a jar of marmite and then converting. Thank you for a trip down memory lane. 07

You've got to remember, the British TV commercial industry has been a breeding ground for Directors who went on to be huge Hollywood Directors - Ridley Scott being probably the best example. Their creativity is what sets UK TV advertising ahead of almost every other country. That's one of the reasons you get Marmite ads as good as these.

The RSPCA/ASPCA parody is voiced by one of the UK's most respected broadcast journalists, Michael Buerk, who first brought to the world's attention the horrific famine in Ethiopia in 1984. Most Brits would have recognised his voice (if not the name!) and that added gravitas to the joke!

I tested positive for Marmite from an early age. This is hilarious so thank you from a grateful Brit. I regularly go on hunting trips round Spanish supermarkets ( I live in Spain) to find this rare species on the shelves. Of course there is an Australian variant the V variant. 😆

In a strange way i owe my life to Marmite, When i was 10 years of age. 63 years ago, i caught Hepatitis. I spent a long time in bed and all i could eat was dry toast with Marmite for months. It worked as i'm still here. Surprisingly i still love it.

Oh my days I loved your reactions to these ads. I had seen a few but not all. Their marketing is off the scale & the humour is incredible. For the record I LOVE marmite. I loved this Monday video. Just as much as I love marmite. I love Marmite . It’s even better with peanut butter. Have to say some of the ads are new to me. How have I not seen them lol. One thing us Brits do very well is take the ‘ you know what out of our selves” I hates the stuff when I 1st tried it when I was around 6 yrs old. The RSPCA did complain to Unilever about the rescue & rehoming advert (inspired by the then, many popular animal rescue TV documentaries that featured the RSPCA, or similar organisations) claiming it trivialised their work & put animals & pets at greater risk of abuse. To which the British public just rolled their eyes & grinned to themselves, in part at the RSPCA spokesperson being so serious, but also because we found funny that they really thought people would suddenly start not being able to recognise genuine animal neglect.

If you ever decide to try Marmite again, I recommend mixing a small amount of marmite with a larger amount of softened butter and spread the mixture onto hot toast. Start with a large ratio of butter to marmite, but as you get used to it (and learn to love it?) you can decrease the ratio, until you find your perfect level. Then top with slices of tomato. The Marmite provides seasoning and Umami, but the tomato adds some moisture, and cuts through the saltiness.
