Such childhood wonder. I love it
Context: They are playing Minecraft in VR.
Apparently, everything is much bigger, given how many people comment on it.
Mumbo's "My base is huge" in one of his videos.
Jimmy's "This house is huge now" on that series,
etc.

The fun part is, Scar is one of the few Lifers to have - likely - _actually seen the size of a Minecraft block in the real world._ A few years ago at MoPop in Seattle (hmm... MOO-Pop...), they had the _Minecraft Experience_ exhibit, and one of the things on display was a literal cubic meter of stone. Scar is Washingtonian, so he likely could have gone to that exhibit at some point... Also apparently Minecraft VR scales things based on the player-height on login (hence the laughably disproportionate heights of the Lifers), so the system detected him sitting and thought "yes, let's make him shorter than a Bdubs". So to him, the "meter" size blocks were probably a LOT MORE than one meter in size.

I judge what I think a meter is based on how much I think a Minecraft block could fill the area. I also thought that one yard was an entire American football field until I was told that it's like, three school gym class wall mats in length, approximately at least, so, maybe don't trust me to understand accurate measurements. Edit: needed some more commas.

@japbstudios
@japbstudios Месяц назад
@@drafezard7315 I'm aware of the calculation and measurement now, but somehow despite having seen yard sticks in person during classes when I was younger, I always thought one yard was an entire American football field, the only thing I could think of as to how thid is, is that I was watching a movie or something and the amount of yards ran in a scene of the game was said so I took that into associating the field as a whole, with one yard. However beyond that I habe no idea. Also putting it that way has made me realize I underestimate how much space a Minecraft block would logistically take up, but in the video where Grian and Mumbo tried to make an IRL sand block (without taking into consideration that cardboard doesn't always kerp it's shape) so it was more of a sand cylinder thsn a block, but I swear if that's accurate a Minecraft block is smaller than a yard, unless a yard is one wall mat but the entire length for a football goal is three, no because we multiplied by three to get the length, well I'm just lost now. A shame the calculator application doesn't have permanent history that goes all the way back. Oh, my apologies for the rant, and thank you for your informative reply! @@redram6080 It's torture to understand every thing is a factor of 10? Bra... if you're too dumb to understand round numbers 10, 100 and 1000. How can are you smart enough to spell you're own name?

@@damackabet.4611 "Subjective" my ass. Can you tell me how many inches are there in 283.5 feet without using a calculator or pen and paper? Anyone can tell you how many centimeters are in 283.5 meters in an instant. Just remove the decimal point. It's 2835. You want millimeters? Just add a zero. It's 28350 mm. Now what's 28350 inches into miles? You have 3 seconds... time's up. How about 28350 mm into kilometers? Just move a decimal point up a few spots. It's 2.8350 km. Easy right? Can you do that with you shitty imperial system? Nope.

"A meter is still meter in America" We only use those for science things! Yes metric makes more sense than imperial, we’re just special snowflakes!
