Courtney Brown Sr, was 2nd in command of one of the top 5 Black drug organizations of the 1970's. During the 1980's he worked with elements of the Medellin Cartel and in the late 1990's he was convicted of heroin conspiracy with various Pakistani and Afghani co-defendants. He was featured in my documentary "Motown Mafia" - his son Courtney, Jr, and I have become good friends and we are currently working on developing "Motown Mafia" into a major Television Series. This is the 82 minute (almost) uncut interview I conducted with Mr. Brown for "Motown Mafia". He is alive and well today in Detroit, enjoying his family, friends, and Chinese Food. A true Gangster and Gentleman. #100

What I always find fascinating is how organized the OG's were. They recruited, gave good customer service, motivated, promoted for within, made rules and by laws... Incredible.

the only reason why it's "illegal" is because they can't put a tax on it and control it. In reality they don't give a fuck about people selling drugs or people getting addicted but since they can't put taxes on it they have to demonize people who are making the money off it. I never fell for the "drug dealers are bad" narrative, that's something society wants you to believe..

This is so funny. When Courtney says something really interesting that Al wants to put in the doc, he asks Courtney to say it again, like as a complete sentence so it works as a good sound bite, but Courtney doesn’t understand that so every time it’s like, Al: So the Dells wanted Eddie to be their manager?? Courtney: Yeah. Al: Okay, can you say that? Courtney: Yeah, they did!

Every major city had a Eddie type organization, Baltimore has been fighting heroin abuse since the 1950s and some say even earlier. Crack didn't devastate Baltimore like it did DC NYC Detroit Atlanta and other major cities because Heroin was Baltimore's choice of drug. Italians was more than likely the first connect and than Frank Matthews was in the late 60's until he disappeared.

@robertherrington408 Год назад
This generation has no concept of what LOYALTY is. These O.G.'s lived by a code of honor that was set in stone. No exceptions, PERIOD. These younger generations only care about themselves. If you don't have a real friend who is 1,000% trustworthy you have no clue how there's not a price you can put on that. The only thing is that in order to have that kind of friend you have to be that kind of friend.
