I wish this was the way they still marketed the girls. Fewer dolls with deeper stories and more meaningful collections. They've retired so many of the historical dolls, and so few of the remaining ones even have

This unboxing is straight out of the original Pleasant Co catalog where Pleasant Rowland described finding a trunk with a doll and her accessories or something which inspired her to create the collections! I never had an American Girl doll, but I got the catalogs with the three you mentioned and spent hours poring over them. Thanks for sharing this!

So i started my collection with Kirsten just before the Mattel sale….but she now has a silver eye…..so disappointing. ……also apparent you took care of your toys…...

Thank you for sharing those beautiful items with us. i have Kirsten and many of her items. The items are all sellabe if you chose to but you can also save it for your children in the future. My granddaughters now enjoy their mothers american girl dolls and items and it is a great connection that they share.

I'm from Canada, but as an enthusiast for American History, I have only started to learn about American Girl dolls...at 31 years old. Now I want a colonial doll so, so badly but it's hard to choose just one!
