I completely agree we should've gotten holiday outfits in the same kind of release as they gave the birthday outfits. Releasing it with the doll is silly - if you already have Kirsten, you get a duplicate you might not want, and if you don't already have her, you miss out on getting her meet outfit and accessories, which is difficult to piece together on the secondhand market, believe me I've tried 😆
I don’t think this works out for a kid though. Like if a kid wanted to play with the doll, it would not work out at all, but as an adult collector, I actually would like both dolls displayed in their outfits. That just me though and I see why people would think this is silly.
Oh that would be so cute! It could be a Thanksgiving set or a traditional Christmas themed one (maybe add a traditional Hanukkah meal set as well) Either way, it would be such a sweet display piece
I was really hoping for more holiday outfits for the historical dolls I'm missing Molly and Julie's holiday outfits. I want a mix of new and old for the historic girls
They should do both people who need the outfit should have the opportunity to purchase it. People like me who would like the doll and definitely the outfit. That’s perfect for me as an adult collector. I can afford it.

I wish it was just Kirstens st.lucia outfit and not a whole new Kirsten doll. Because I have her birthday dress and along with ,Addy's and joesafina then I have a few other Histocal girl's rerelease outfits. I'd rather the the Christmas book and the dress
I love, love, love the new Janie and Jack items - especially the sweater. Like everyone else, I wish AG would have released Kirsten’s St. Lucia outfit separately. I love her and her collection, but as you know, it’s so pricey on the aftermarket. If they would have brought back the outfit and her Christmas accessory sets I would have snatched them up right away! ☹️ I don’t need another doll…

At least a couple of the Janie and Jack pieces, and the wall calendar are on my definite purchase list. $50 is too much for a bunch of hair accessories, especially just to include hair elastics. And yes, Kirsten’s St. Lucia outfit should just be sold as an outfit only.
I second your comments about a holiday outfit for boy dolls! We've only had two really nice outfits for them - the green plaid pants and navy velvet vest one, and the one from last year with the red vest and red plaid scarf. So I was really looking forward to getting another posh outfit for my boy dolls. Not everyone wants to dress their boy dolls in casual gear like the gaming set or camo shorts. Here's hoping that it's coming in a later relase!

I have several Kirsten’s too, but at least they are different, as in “visually different “. The new one has got to be the exact same one that was released earlier this year.

I agree that they should make Kirsten's holiday outfit available without the doll. I already have Kirsten and not interested in purchasing her again, but I would love to collect her outfits.
Wow that wreath of Kirsten’s looks much taller and bulkier than my original. Dont mind me just waiting here for Felicity things or Samantha outfits, or Molly’s Xmas dress even while Kirsten’s whole collection I already own. 😅 she’s been the star this yr!

I agree, they should have released holiday outfits for other historical dolls and give us the option to just buy Kirsten’s dress. Also, I’m VERY disappointed that we don’t have a holiday outfit for our boy dolls, they do so little for that line I think it was a mistake. I definitely will be getting some of holiday releases. I bought it all times 2 one for my granddaughter and one for me. Did Jenny and Jack I just couldn’t resist I’m on the fence with the advent calendar. If Kirsten really is coming out in her Christmas outfit I wanna hear the price but I could add it to my collection because my daughter has the original, the original original. The day she took the braids out. I almost had a heart attack.
I am loving all of these releases. I actually love the pajamas and ordered a set for my daughter and her WellieWisher. I also ordered some of the J&J pieces. We don't know for sure that they are not releasing the Kirsten outfit separately, but it seems highly unlikely at this point. I bought the 2024 Kirsten and do not need another one. I would love her St. Lucia outift - it is so pricey secondhand that I think it would have sold out quickly - especially if the tray was sold with it!
I love the Janie and Jack colab pieces! The cookie set is so cute. I’ve been wanting to get Kirsten but I want her in her meet outfit. Well, I will definitely be buying the Janie and Jack pieces, the pajamas, and possibly the stocking set (so cute!) I love the calendar, too, I think I'll put it on my Christmas wishlist. I like the tumbler as well (and yes, the 40 oz are popular here) - but I don't really need it. The Advent calendar is pricey but I can see kids enjoying it. I also do not understand the release of Kirsten as a collector doll. It would have made much more sense to rerelease the outfit and accessories. I'm probably one of the last people in the country to own a Kirsten doll, and the only reason I have her is that I went to a big AG estate sale last month and got a TLC Kirsten for $25. So I don't know who their market is, unless people like owning doubles. And yes, we need more boy outfits!!

AG should have made the holiday outfits separate for the Historical dolls 😑 it doesn’t make sense to buy another Kirsten just for the St. Lucia outfit!! 🤦🏼♀️ Anyways, I love the Janie & Jack holiday collection especially the burgundy red dress that is similar to Samantha’s holiday dress but more modern 😉 and the sweater is too adorable 🥰 I love the holiday sweet treats especially the reindeer and Santa 🎅🏼 cookies, and milk 🥛 😀 I’m also surprised that Mattel didn’t collaborate with Stanley to make the water bottle tumbler. I'm glad that I bought the new modern Kirsten inspired sweater, skirt and shoes earlier today! Collector doll means expensive! My bet is $175. I bought my anniversary Molly the tartan plaid skirt and blue sweater from an earlier Janie & Jack collab. a couple years ago.
I think it’s possible they can do an AG/Stanley… I imagine it would be the original doll prints for the theme. In my area, I feel like I have only seen the large size. I feel like they made too many of the Barbie designs since many of them didn’t sell out (or maybe over produced the more popular designs?) they did have an exclusive sticker sheet though so I am curious to see what the stickers would be for the items I didn’t get. The themed holiday tea and the Kirsten outfit is going to make me bold and I will 💪 suck it up and bring my doll to the AG store and go to brunch.
I already had Kirsten, but I bought a new one to keep in the braids. I certainly don't need 3 Kirsten dolls! (Especially since I had to do two returns before they sent me one with a good set of eyes.) I bought most Janie & Jack pieces this morning & didn't see the elf & pajamas until I checked out.
I understand that you would like to have her back. She was one of the few dolls that I asked my daughter not to let my grandchildren play with. I said everything of hers needs to be boxed and just set aside. All of a sudden I realized I was playing into the stereotype and I really hated myself for that, I just wanted it not to get rough play from girls who are just getting used to the dolls. Unfortunately, the society that we live in today wants to scrub and erase everything that some group may find offensive. This goes from taking away an entire installation of a ride in Disney World, because of what they felt was racist undertones from the song of the south. And while we’re at it, let’s talk about the song of the south for a minute. I know this is an AG channel but bear with me the first 13 movies put out video recorders were new and getting titles to rent was extremely expensive, I know this because I did it. It was my job I managed and was a district manager for a video chain that was the very first national chain. One of the movies that we got was the song of the south and I can remember bringing it home because my mom wanted to see it so bad again and I watched it and I don’t see anything wrong with it, but we’re scrubbing Dumbo because his mom in protecting him goes mad they want to take the black Crowes at the end who are the Mills Brothers singing the lives on an elephant fly. They want to take out the scene and Bambi we’re Bambi‘s mother is killed because it’s too violent and it’s too hard on children, if it doesn’t fit our climate today it disappears or is taken away. Unfortunately, this is what has happened to Felicity as she was a lovely doll, and she had a very good story and she was extremely sympathetic to the slaves that her grandfather owned. This was a teaching moment that was not acted upon properly. Just because we don’t like what it says we don’t put everything in a box. Pull it off the market and put it away. I hope that all of her things have been saved and one day we’ll get to a point in the human race That she can be welcome back into the collection. I wouldn’t count on it happening anytime soon because I am a grandmother. I can tell you that there are television shows which we watched in the 70s and the 80s that you couldn’t put on the air today there would be no way that they would be televised that they would even be written Once again, it is unfortunate that pleasant company or Mattel didn’t take the time, to make this a teachable moment.
I find it sad that Felicity has been heavily criticized just because her grandfather was a slave owner. Slavery was an ugly part of American history but it is still an important part of history that should be taught. I mean Addy is still sort of available and she’s an escaped slave. My point is it is possible to teach kids all about slavery without making it seem like we’re glorifying it.

The pjs remind me of Kirsten and I may put these pjs on Kirsten since they are not releasing her holiday outfit, which is just silly since they are capable of doing just that for collectors who really want the St. Lucia Set with cookies and tray. I have no plans to waste my money on another Kirsten doll just for this holiday outfit. They should have released it separately since they already had the Kirsten doll this past Spring.

I was just thinking the other day we didn’t have enough hair stuff for our dolls! 7:39 honestly I wish they released the Kirsten stuff at like a regular price instead of making it so expensive and stuff. There’s no regular version which is very sad. At least with Josefina we have a regular version and we have the expensive collector version. Same with Addy.
@@rainbowunicorncat1 yes. It would be great to introduce to a child who didn’t grow up with Kristen. As an adult collector I would buy both dolls eventually and have them displayed in my doll shelf but I would not buy this doll for a child.
I was hoping the outfit would be re-released as I wanted the headpiece. I have several Kirsten dolls so would not purchase a new one. However i love everything else for the holiday season and already filled my cart.
Forcing people to buy another of the exact same kirsten doll again to get the outfit is ridiculous! Makes no sense, especially since her bday outfit sold out so obviously did well… Very upsetting! I can’t believe the price especially since there appears to be nothing special like Swarovski crystals, it’s just the doll in a different outfit 😒
I wish the stocking could be sold separately from the rest of the set. I wish I could buy two stockings. It would look more cute to me to be able to do that with my set up and have more for my dollies. It sucks I'd have to get a whole 'nother set to get more stockings 😢 also it would be really cute to have a kid/adult sized stocking to match! 🩷💕 I dont know if they ever did that but i would buy it. I dont really get the Kirsten collector doll either. Like, was the outfit considered "collector" before? Or was it just a regular outfit? If it was regular, I think doing something like Kit's birthday collection would make more sense. I think that would be really nice if they stuck with doing releases like Kit's birthday collection. Kirsten has a lot of pieces that would be nice to see back in that way.
It does seem strange that they're releasing a Kisten holiday collector doll, especially since I think Samantha would probably be the one that would sell the best, I'd prefer they re-release the historical holiday dresses and give Claudie a dress this holiday too. The PJs are cute but I wish they had gone with the Scottie dog print pjs from the Jaine and Jack collab instead.
I have my childhood Kirsten and I just got her birthday dress not too long ago and I've very upset that it's a LE Kirsten st.lucia Doll and not the dress and book like the previous release. I'd love to have all the historical dolls Christmas outfits. But the price is insane on 2nd market. Expcally for Kirsten. I'm very disappointed that it's a LE Kirsten doll with her st.lucia Christmas dress.
Oh my God that makes me so sad about Kirsten's holiday outfit. I was so trying to avoid the reseller market because of the huge markups but this just forces you anyways to spend that much. 😩 I'm super bummed Are they going to do this all the time for historical stuff????? Because I feel like they're going to get less sales that way. People don't want a bazillion dolls just to get the outfits. This is so so so so disappointing and such a slap in the adult collector face like we aren't already down and upset about what's going on with etsy😩
I wish they did a release the way they did the birthday outfits so we got at least three of the others that they released at the birthday time. I also wish they would have released the summer stuff like Kirsten's fishing set. Ugh I'm just so disappointed. It's like they want to help the resellers continue to price gouge.

I wish it would have been the outfit and not the doll in the outfit. I will not be buying the collector Kirsten, but would have purchased the outfit. That being said if they would have release her in her winter woolens outfit, I would have broken down and ordered it just for the clothes. I ordered three pieces from the new holiday release - the sweater and both skirts.

The only doll I have a double of is kit because she is my favorite, but I’m not opposed to getting another Kirsten because I don’t want any dolls missing from my collectors series. I still would have preferred the outfit separately
What?!?! A LE doll?! This is clearly meant to target adult collectors who want the outfit to profit off of. I’m not interested in this doll, thankfully. Disappointed they only did a revamp of Julie this year too. They could have released more outfits for all the historical dolls and profited that way instead of another LE doll…
