The journey to season two of American Gods has been a tumultuous one. After a rather well-received first season back in 2017, the Starz drama went through showrunners, lost one of its biggest stars, and experienced a whole host of budgeting and scheduling concerns. That’s all hopefully in the past though, as the second season of American Gods premieres this Sunday on Starz. To kick-off the long-awaited new season, we spoke with stars Ricky Whittle and Pablo Schreiber-also known as Shadow Moon and Mad Sweeney-to talk about the new season, and filming at House on the Rock in Wisconsin.
