I wish they would come back out with fractional gold buffalos. Right now I'm focusing on finishing off a fractional tube of eagles before moving onto other things like pre 33 stuff but I would definitely like to save up and get a buffalo one of these days. It just sucks I'm on such a limited income because there's so many things I just have to have lol.

I know the struggle, my friend! I work at a blue collar job. I eat a lot of beans, rice, and potatoes. I shop for cheapest cuts of meat, and cook a lot of crockpot meals. I have a tube that I am filling with 1/10 oz Eagles. Living frugally as I do, I am able to purchase a coin almost every week. Hope to have a full tube by this time next year. Keep stacking! 😊

Gold Buffalo's were my first and premier choice as well. Not much else comes close in my humble opinion, except pre 33 stuff.

The bullion version of the American gold buffalo coins have no mint mark. On the other hand, the numismatic version of the American gold buffalo coins all have the "W" mint mark behind the neck of the Indian on the obverse of the coin. The W mint mark means that the coins were struck at the West Point Mint in New York state. The fractional sizes of the American gold buffalo coins in 2008 all have the W mint mark.

In Canada the AGE is taxed at 13%, whereas the "Bison" is tax free. However the premiums are much higher than other 9999 gold coins. I buy RCM proof 99999 gold coins on the aftermarket for spot +2%, cheaper than any new gold coins. Nevertheless, I have purchased all but three years of the Buffalo series because like yourself, it is a favourite. Just 2012/16 and 2018 to fill the gaps.

If I had a genie from the lamp wish that could come true, I'd like to see the Indian Cent design used for gold bullion and fractionals. "One Ounce" etc. in place of "One Cent", and then place E Pluribus Unum, In God We Trust, and.9999 Fine along the edge.

I bought 10 oz of Pam 1 oz each so I bought 10 of them and I also bought that buffalo 1 oz beautiful The eagles myself I don't like them that much 22 carat for me it just the name and I'm going to keep buying buffalos and maples that just me

I would love to collect Buffaloes. I prefer 24 Kt gold. But I cannot afford 1 ounce of gold at a time. That's why I purchase 1/4 ounce Eagles, Maples, and Philharmonics. I wish the mint would start selling fractional Buffaloes again.
