@@incumbentvinyl9291 Hey, ah... You realize that smart phones weren't a thing when this movie came out, right? Even cellphones weren't common yet. People who needed to be reached regularly (Like doctors, for example) still used pagers around 1998, if I remember correctly. Also, I'm pretty sure that OP's comment was a joke.
I'm watching My name is Earl now I knew watching this would make me feel some type of way towards him. Damn I was just staring to like Randy Hickey. You hurt me Ethen Suplee.
It’s not terrible, but it only reiterated how these two are just bigoted a-holes. And doesn’t really move the plot along. Albeit it has some good lines.
lol talk about understatement of the century, it's str8 up one of the funniest things i've ever seen on RU-vid. It being a deleted scene only adds to AHX's (righteous) lore.
The new look Cameron was describing was actually Derek’s new look 😂😂😂😂😂😂”Grow your hair out,cut these mutton chops off and maybe fill this in a little right there and lose some weight” bro just described Derek
It’s not so much that’s he’s useless without Derek as much as Cameron doesn’t want to be on the front lines so to speak. He needs someone to do his bidding without exposing himself. A true manipulator.
Well shit, this completely changes some of the movie for me. When the cops tell Derek how those two "got jumped last night", I always thought they were unknowingly referencing Derek having beaten them up at the party - which was a little confusing since Derek only hit him one time. So I took that to mean that they had spread the news worse than it was so people would turn on Derek. But it turns out that they actually DO get jumped. Interesting...
Typical right wing fascists...deny the objective facts and construct alternative facts to weaken the "enemy." A disgraceful tactic....ask Trump and friends.
@@Kenny-ep2nf It doesn't fit at all with the rest of the movie and Cameron's manipulation attempts come off as clumsy as hell. It was a good choice to cut it.
I have to give massive praise to the actor who played Seth because I found his character nothing but vile and disgusting and he truly brought that to life. Bravo man.
What's funny is Ethan Suplee (Who plays Seth) mostly got popular playing Randy on My Name Is Earl. Another fun fact is his lost all his weight and is now a bodybuilder.
I guess this scene made sense to delete. While it's interesting, it doesn't really advance the plot with the main characters, and the movie already did a great job of helping us understand the manipulative nature of this guy. There's nothing really surprising about the character behavior in this scene, and that tells me they were successful with their portrayals in the included scenes. Great movie.
Yeah they never really explained who jumped Cam and Seth, so it seemed like it was pointless. Cameron also alluded to the raft that Seth was concerned about Derek's mental state, but we never see Seth and Derek talking about the gang, how things are going, and we also never see Seth and Cam talking about Derek. They messed up bad by leaving this out. I think this also allows us to understand better the mentality that leads up to the violence, rather than just hearing some speeches. We needed to feel what it was like to be inside of the gang.
Seth was so hurt and confused. Derek was probably his only real friend and this scene shows that he really didn't want to hurt him. As horrible as he is, deep down Seth was a victim you can tell he doesn't hold these values more than skin deep. He just wanted a place where he could feel respected, accepted and/or feared for the only time in his life. Just someone with a lot of insecurities on the wrong side of a lot of predatory indoctrination. Notice how throughout the film he doesn't have the cognitive ability to express any of his own independant opinions.
@@joewhitehead3 ah but that involves smashing the magic "he's a racist" button and not thinking about things with a bit of nuance. Seth might have still been a victim, EVEN IF HE WAS RACIST. He was a victim because he was a younger, dumber person compared to this manipulative predator Cam, who who spread his ideology to others. To say Seth deserves zero sympathy is to say no one ever influenced or tricked by a charismatic leader or ideology deserves sympathy. People have killed and maimed countless times throughout history because someone interesting told them too, we just tend to only remember the example of the Nazis.
seems pretty needed of a group considering the ending of this scene, they weren't skulking in the shadows with bats, beating people. they should have though...
@@Petey0707 Pretty much the kind of response you'd expect from someone who i'm assuming unironically has "comrade" in their name. Props for presumably watching the movie though and not listening to your comrades about it being a "nazi movie" Did you like it's final message?
For sure. And towards the end where the guy noticed the other guys in the Caddy and goes, “Somebody fears to get their ass whooped.” Is that the same guy who shot Danny in the bathroom??
Always felt it was quite unrealistic when Derek was told Cameron and Seth were in the hospital. Cameron got kicked in the face pretty bad, however not that bad that medical attention was necessary and Seth only got his arm twisted. This scene reveals how they really ended up in the hospital. Wonder why it was left out.
@Blood Beryl I'm the individual with a modicum of intellectual integrity, who in turn doesn't feel the need to call people 'jerkoff' in RU-vid comments. You may think that 'no one cares' about their opinion but the fact is they're entitled to share it, that's the same freedom of speech that your exercising. They, however, aren't being nasty about it. It's a common trait, people project their own bad attitudes at other people in an attempt to make them feel better. It may help you to take the time to use your, clearly excellent, powers of perception on yourself to discover why you feel the need to project this I'll will at other people. What happened to you to make you feel this way, who has hurt you?
@@kylew3693 It's called non verbal communication... It's the way he says it and how he looks at them. Even though he expresses gratitude for the cash, you can tell that he's skeptical of the scummy vibe they're giving off.
That right there shows the sad state of our veterans. They put their lives on the line, yet get screwed over when they come home. Sure, not all of them, but it's still too many Granted I can see why it wasn’t used as we aren’t supposed to sympathize with nazis, and Cameron using the N word to describe African Americans here when complaining about benefits was completely uncalled for and out of line, and completely invalidated his argument
@@mattmaccaronio5990True, but not in the way they make it out to be. Veterans definitely get screwed over, despite their service, but not for the reasons Cameron indicates.
I used to find it funny that Ethan Suplee had the range to do this when I first knew him from My Name Is Earl. But now I've seen that, before this, he played the most pure, naturally non-racist character in Remember the Titans, he has me even more bloody impressed. Go Ethan Suplee
Kinda crazy the guy who played Louie Lastik in Remember The Titans being accepting and loving people of races. Then all of a sudden you see his racist side. It's cool that he got to portray both sides. Good acting on his part.
That's the great Stacey Keach. I could write 10 paragraphs about all of his great film and stage roles, but if you haven't seen it yet, check out the move Fat City (made in the early 70's) about a down and out boxer played by Keach. Directed by the great John Huston, and also starring a very young Jeff Bridges along with some other terrific talent, it's the kind of film realism you just won't see in films today.
Reminds me of the neighborhood drug dealer when I was growing up. He had nothing but kids selling his drugs and they were all very loyal to him. One of them even took a murder charge for him.
I remember when I was 22 yrs old, a friend invited me to a party in chapel hill NC. It was the first time I’ve been to a college party, first time around college folks having fun, drinking and smoking, and meeting new people. My friend introduced me to a dude who was like in his mid 40s. He wasn’t showing gray hairs and looked vibrant, but you could tell he was a lot older. Folks overlooked it because he sold weed and had a hookup with getting kegs, which is what people told me, but he was always at every party and he was living the life being known around that college town. Fast forward to my late 30s and I looked back at that guy and couldn’t help think that was some incredibly loser sht. Sure, kids in college are technically adults but if you’re 40+ hanging out with 20 yr olds, you’re essentially telling stories, bragging and getting validation from kids. That’s some borderline predatory/arrested development/insecure type of sht.
@@steverogers7601he probably was a dude who couldn't get chicks his own age nor could relate to people his own age that have careers which is why he was hanging out with college aged people.
I'm guessing pacing was the main reason. It's not really necessary to advance to the plot. Also, the bit about the musical comedy is bit too silly for the overall tone of the movie.
They shouldn’t have kept this scene are you kidding? The dialogue is so clunky and ham-fisted. If the movie was all this no one would remember it today.
@@jasong7373 Hamfisted my ass, the reason the movie turned up so well is they cut good scenes too. They just needed another take for Seth to be more fluid.
Ethan is an amazing actor, this movie was chock full of good performances even if the characters are really disgusting, but that just makes the movie the more painfully realistic
@@marcothemexican9775 He was right in the sense that vets are prone to getting f’d over But maybe that’s part of the reason it was cut, so we don’t sympathize with these dirtbags
@edwardgaines6561 nah. Not even. They pick up all. Even the baddest females. And smartest. And that pisses off the white guys. But gotta accept it. They have the huge dddd. And that's that. They are tall and strong. White women love that. They could careless about other things. Not saying all white women. But a lot. And owell that's life. Can't do nothing about it. Can't admit it then u are denying the 0bvious and are a hater
I finally watched this film the other day and stumbled upon this yesterday. I have to say this scene for some reason attracts me to it, the acting, the atmosphere, its perfect. Why did they cut it? I don’t see how this would have effected the plot, in fact I think it helps explain a lot, brilliant scene with brilliant acting on everyone’s part.
The plot between these two characters just doesnt get fleshed out. My guess is that it was cut for time. And im watching the movie right now and it just wouldnt seem right and would interrupt the flow of the movie in my opinion
@@ramonalejandrosuare Yea, but they didnt have any grudge against them, except Danny steping up for the kid in the bathroom that was beaten up by some black boys. He confronted them and that maybe pissed off the kid that killed him and was telling the dudes on the basketball court about them. Those guys that beaten Cameroon and Seth didnt know who they were, they just beated them out of their own whim. What im saying is that it dosent change the motive of the kid that killed Danny in the end it was pretty much the same as we saw in the movie, but it does make a question what happend to Cam and Seth. Beside the black dudes beating 2 white guys i think the reasoning for lefting it off is Cameroons way of thinking that he put up in this scene. He is saying that people are only doing this today because its "politcly correct" and want to be on the "right side" by his way of thinking. He is right about society telling people today how they should act and what they should do, this kind of thinking is what society wants to surpress today. Ofcourse Cameroon is wrong in this case, but as an way of thinking generally he isnt...
Haha I love that the guy tried to argue with Cameron. "It's not Africa America..." Like he's having a logical debate with a sane person. It kinda shows how confident and fearless this random dude really is.
If he was "confident and fearless" he would have done something when Seth challenged him. He didn't and ran out. Which was the smart thing to do, mind you, but that dude was clearly not supposed to represent the "confident and fearless" everyman.
I don’t understand why Mitch McCormick would call Cam though. Mitch was a high ranking member of a prison gang. And Cam was apparently a snitch the first time he got in trouble with the law so Mitch wouldn’t be talking to a snitch.
The homeless veteran used all the money they gave him to buy out all the gum, so the taco chef got on the phone during the racial confrontation to order a restock.
I AM NOT A RASICT: But I honestly laughed when I heard him say "now that Jane has taken Cheetah back to the jungle, I think that everything is hunky-spunky".. 🤦🏻♂️😂 4:02
Imagine Hollyweird doing a movie about just a random black person with as much hate in them as anyone in this movie? The most racist crap i've ever heard, read, or witnessed was by blacks who see racism everywhere ELSE but within themselves.
Not a comparison chump, who got more blood 🩸 on their hands? Who are more spiteful & Hateful? I think you know that answer. Not to mention inner city more dangerous to each other & other nationalities barely get touched. White people are barely in danger when black ppl around yet y’all keep our race as a whole in you’re mouths. Just pure spiteful never comprehend why black mf’s ever wanted to integrate with ppl who don’t respect them.

I guess they left this scene out because, all the actual racism aside, Cameron started making a lot of sense when he criticized the political correct bs. Suddenly would've make you sympathize with this pos and we cant have that, can we?
Well technically the nazis invented political correctness. And really you can't put the racism aside because everything out of this character's mouth is some bs excuse for his hatred.
What you should actually think of is the miracle that is Western civilisation and the Europeans who created it - and then contrast it against those who, despite being one of the earliest human civilisations, never independently invented the wheel.
What? Giving a dollar to some guy and saying a couple of words about the economy or whatever do not make him a "good guy deep down". He was a racist, a fucking nazi.
This was in the Original I rented from Block Buster back when it first came out of theaters, but it was not on the big screen. How old is the admin of this channel?
This scene should have been kept in the film. It really highlights what Derek said to Cameron earlier in the film about how he has a bunch of people lined up to take his (Derek) place. Cameron wants Seth to play that role. He wants him to be the next Derek Vineyard. It really shows how callous and selfish Cameron is. Sure, he may appear fatherly to Seth, but it's a front. He only cares about having enforcers to help him spread his hateful vitriol without consequence.
The greatest thing in life is Karma… sometimes it hurts. Sometimes it’s sweet. But if there’s one thing that Karma doesn’t do is have favorites. Karma is for everyone and everything.
I'm confused as to why this scene was deleted. This shows a lot important stuff. Plus I dont think Cameron had enough screen time in the movie to explain what he was all about. Plus it shows how the get jumped, also important.
I wanted to know about Seth's musical comedy. He says it in such a way that you don't know if he is messing with Cam or if he is genuinely trying to plug a musical comedy. XD XD XD
I can see why this scene was cut to make the movie tighter. Undermines the antagonists a bit by showing regular people standing up to them and giving them dirty looks. One thing I did think was interesting though was it explains why Derick never got attacked if these guys got clobbered or worse, and it also set the example for the young guy in the car to go after Derick's brother next
You know Cameron is desperate when he is asking Seth to be a High Rank in command Seth is better as a personal bodyguard or Enforcer he doesn't have the academic quality to be a leader
The fact Cameron made Seth give the homeless guy money from his own pocket instead of giving it to him himself tells a lot about his character. Dude was a con man. Basically used others to sell his books/videos and then wouldn’t give his own money to the homeless guy. Basically gave Seth a “promotion” because Derrick said no.
I think the videos, I believe in that time and age it can only be VHS cassette tapes, contained drugs like heroin or meth, and that would explain a lot of things about Cameron's actions and the conversation they have here. I mean, there is no way in hell people would be buying some beating videos en masse. Believe me, Russian NS-skinheads actually tried that and it didn't work. Cameron might as well be a local "manager" for the Aryan Brotherhood which is infamous for their involvement in the drug trade.
