I love this scene, as it showcases the magical traits of each of the girls. Misty focuses on patience and concentration to achieve her magic, which is why she zeroed in on the candle. Queenie focuses on control, using her body as a 'wand' to gain ease in her endeavors. Madison focuses on sheer strength, putting force into every move she makes. Zoe focuses on fueling power, allowing her mind to build itself up before unleashing a strong flow of magic.
Legion Ivory And that kinda is their weakness too. Misty needs focus that she died during the Descensum test. Zoe died because of channeling too much power. Madison... well, I can say that she died because of being weakened by Kyle. Queenie died because she relies to much on her body (human voodoo doll). That's what I just think
+Forgotten Memory Mental clarity. When she is calm, peaceful, and free of tension, she can do pretty much anything. The moment she grows worrisome or unsure of herself, her powers recede.
I find it strange that Zoe moved it with absolutely no effort yet Madison required some concentration. Madison’s main power was always telekinesis, and we’ve seen her move much larger objects like the bus with no effort at all. Both Zoe and Madison should have done it without even trying, not just Zoe.
Thing is Madison doesn't take this anywhere near as seriously as Zoe, who was also shown to be powerful enough to cockblock Marie Laveau. Madison is powerful, but that's only when she's in danger.
Zoe was always above madison in magical capability because zoe actually studied and honed her gifts. She was also shown practicing TK while madison lounged before the test lol. Zoe also has manifested all 7 wonders at some point throughout the szn. Madison only 6. The finding of anna leigh’s trinket is meant to be ironic as she didnt even know she found it, she just knew thats where fiona grabbed a ciggarette from. For perspective 2 years after the seven wonders zoe was able to gather john henry’s ashes from being burned days to weeks prior.

Misty had already made a knife go to her hand when she killed the Axeman. Why was she insecure about being able to move the candle?
I know this reply is rather old, but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. The primary reason, I believe has a few contributing factors, but I'll voice the main one. Emotions: Fiona said that their powers manifest when they feel strong emotional spikes (which is why Madison was able to flip the bus and burn Joan's curtains. Pyrokensis wasn't something she knew she could do before however she unlocked the power because it spiked with her Anger when Joan told her to leave, and the bus because of her resentment for the boys raping her). I think that when Misty felt rage toward the Axman for trying to hurt them combined with her resolve to want protect the coven helped her power manifest. Not to mention she was still very pissed at Madison for burying her alive. However, the reason why I think that she had trouble here was because she was doubtful, and afraid. Her fear of not being able to do it had an opposite effect on her, along with Madison planting doubts in her mind, making her believe that she wouldn't be able to do it at all. If you notice, both Queenie and Zoe were FAR more confident in their abilities so they didn't struggle at all when it came to moving the candle. Queenie and Zoe are also used to Madison's head games and trickery, so Madison shit talking them would have no affect.
Even so, she used her telekinesis on the director when he insulted her for not hitting her mark. Again, her Anger triggered the power. I also believe that Madison has had many stints with the law due to her emotionally unstable nature.
I always wondered why they didn't do the descent test last, since it was the one most likely to be fatal. It seems like eliminating someone in one of the safer tests would be more sensible, particularly with the number of witches so limited.
Madison focuses on sheer strength, putting force into every move she makes. It would make the bus child's play, however something requiring fine motor control would be an issue.
Madison’s “flipping” of the bus was also made possible by her emotional turmoil as a result of being gang raped. Whereas some witches need to be in a zen-like state to demonstrate powers beyond their abilities, I’d wager that Madison actually gets stronger the more upset she is. Hence why she was at a disadvantage during the Supreme test because some of the skills (e.g. divination) require clarity of the mind, and the atmosphere alone was too calm for her. She’s at her strongest when she feels negative emotions that she can transform into highly potent witchcraft.
Also I think the point of the tests is to show that you can do each of the powers. Then all doing each ability even though we'd already seen some of the witches do them was just for the test itself.
@@OfficerFriendly2006 I think it's more so about being a master at each power. Performing the skill with precision and control. For example, Zoe was able to do transmutation, but eventully killed herself while performing it, meaning she was sloppy and had no real control over the ability, therefore failing the test and not being the supreme
kh22912 because usually they move from easiest to hardest but since they're breaking the tradition this year, they begun with her personal favorite: Telekinesis.
Michael Reeves actually the last test has been pyro because if you do it the traditional way you tested your blood over a flame and it could cause you to be covered in flames
@@leightongalloway2971 Yes, however unlike descensum, the witches can still revive you if you ever get burned (like what Cordelia did in AHS Season 8 to Myrtle and to that other warlock). In descensum, no one can save you if you get stuck (not even cordelia can bring misty back)
No because literally this. Myrtle acted so weird this entire episode. She was the one who decided to break tradition of easiest to hardest, She knew misty would die as she said “for some of you even a last meal” then looks right at her. She allows madison to make kyle choke zoe without stopping it, she then waits until there is no one left to finally tell cordelia she thinks its her. I love her but dang myrtle was the drama of the finale
Zoe had divination, just like Misty had it....Zoe used it to look for a spell book, and Misty used to find Myrtle's body and when she was alerted about Madison and Zoe reviving Kyle
@@DC_Morningstar its not the same, misty has some sort of connection to death and senses when she's needed (like when she ended up in zoe's car, or when she resurrected myrtle). And zoe didn't really use divination, it was a spell that any of them, even madison who failed divination, could have done. If she was supreme Cordelia wouldnt get her eyes back after resurrecting her.

Zoe did peform it, she placed her hand and waited for her energy to tell her which book was the best for that situation. And for Misty, she *sensed* where Myrtle was, and what was Zoe and Madison doing. Sensing is also a form of divination, Misty always followed her guts, which were always right. She also was the first one to know something big was going on with Michael, no just because she saw him doing demonic stuff. But she said she SMELLED his perfume, and smelling is a type of sense. She told Cordelia there was something huge going on with him. And Queenie also peformed divination by touching Marie's blood to have a vision of where she was located or what happened to her. And she got it! She got cut into small pieces and spreaded across the town. She told papa and he never mentioned. So yeah they all could peform divination on their own ways except for Madison

everyone loves misty but if you see she is the most unuseless witch she doesn't do nothing during all the season and to be fare she is just madison's counterpoint to we have that thing of "oh my god she was the only pure good witch and go to hell and madison stayed here"
Felipe Silva umm, she brought Madison and Myrtle back to life, also helped taking care of Kyle after he’s brought back to life. Madison literally did nothing to help the coven.
one question, i heard that some witches do not control all the seven wonders right, only the supreme, but they can actually controll a lot of powers like 4 or even 5 but my question is is there a chance that a witch can not use telekineses or the fire power?
The Supreme demonstrates a mastery of the 7 wonders, there are powerful witches who can do 5-6 gifts but with the exception of this generation of witches it's very rare, the only reason all of the witches commanded so many gifts was because when there is a crisis there are power spikes in the coven
Decentium is a test on Astral Projection. They don't die but rather leave thier bodies to travel to other Realms.The Y only die If they fail to return to thier bodies in time.
In the flashback of Fiona killing Supreme Anna-Lee, Anna-Lee states that withes often can manifest multiple powers. The inference is this is sometimes due to innate abiity, or sometime due to work and practice.
The seven wonders are more than just seven individual powers, it’s a whole ritual. We see most of the witches actually demonstrate all seven over the course of the season. Some of it is just narrative, the writers needed to keep the new Supreme a mystery, but I also think it’s meant to show how the tests of the Seven Wonders are actually a test. Performing an individual wonder is not that same as mastery. So yes, not all of the witches can move things or start fires, but even if they can it may not mean anything.
I think it's going like that(easiest to hardest) 1)Divination. You can either do it,or no. Nothing in the middle. 2)Transmutation. Kinda easy. The tricky part,is that you have to know exactly in your mind the location you want to travel. 3)Concilium/Mind control. You must have a strong will of mind and power. Either from that,you can have a great control over your victim's mind. 4)Telekinesis. Mind over matter. The heaviest the object,the strongest concentration you must have. Also,you have to be able to control your emotions and thoughts. It's a great power to have(in my opinion the most powerful because matter is what makes everything)but the slightest mistake,can be deadly. 5)Pyrokinesis. Again,a strong power to possess. Personally,I think it's a telekinetic power,but it requires much higher concentration,because you're not moving something visible,but instead,your using psychic energy to manipulate the atoms of an object in order to ignite it. Again,must have total control of your emotions. 6)Vitalum-Vitalis. You have to literally give up some of your life energy to cure/resurrect someone. One of the most powerful but in the same time,overpowering for the witch,because of her life force being transfer to another individual. 7)Descensum. Nothing much can be said about that. You must be strong enough to fight your greatest demons by yourself. Otherwise, you'll end up in hell,living your worst nightmare on a loop.
I dont know this is just my opinion i know that this is a really old video lol but why do i have this feeling that zoe is the strongest when they showed their abilities here even madison's was a little bit lacking but zoe.. I dont know maybe she WAS supposed to be the supreme to bad she dumb lol haha
Arath Escalona it’s because she died and nobody resurrected her until in the end when Cordelia mastered all seven I do think Zoe was the true supreme but when she died her powers flue to another
coolyhighflow she didn’t technically fail the teleportation test. She successfully performed it, and if she would have only done it once than she would have passed.
Lily Lily she died because she failed to control it, if she’s the supreme no matter how many times she teleported she wouldn’t ended up impaled on a fence
Actually, it's one of the most difficult to muster. It requires the materialization of electromagnetic signals to produce a kinetic effect on whatever the signals hit. It's tough as fuck to produce and can cause serious migraines from concentration alone.

zoe looked like she took no effort at all. and she should be the supreme, having performed all the seven wonders, and her zombie cancelling spell, widow curse, and spellcraft.
at the beginning when madison, queenie, and nan decided to prank her. she lighted up the candles. though it was an emotional response, but for me it counts and she's my supreme. also i just adore taissa.
