+Hannah Egginson If you DO want to listen to him for hours, look up the podcast Ouch, from the BBC. The hosts changed a few years, so look for the earlier episodes when Mat and Liz were the presenters (2007-2012, I think). It does focus on disability, but it's so hysterical I'm sure non-disabled people would find it interesting and entertaining too!
+Orca Yowane/ i love Mat too! he is very amazing as an actor and i really didn't think twice about his character of paul it i didn't actually even think about his arm's! it was how i was raised!
@@vipr1142 that's not a question you should be asking like that is extremely objectifying! Why should you know intimate information about someone who you're not engaging in a sexual relationship with? That would be like me asking "do you like getting your dick sucked by people with lip fillers?" Not appropriate is it? You don't like me objectifying you? Well shut the fuck up then
This guy seems awesome! He's so positive and inspiring! I laughed when he said "The thing is, people thing freaks can't do two things: fight and have sex. So I'm a black belt and I'm really good at shagging"
I feel freak show is such an underrated season, like I understand it wasn't that scary but like these are real people! They are humans currently living! Having to deal with a**holes like this sometimes! It's so amazing that these people are so confident now and encourage everyone to live life to the fullest.
Tbh freak show was scary, but after a few episodes it started to get upsetting, angering and sad. Seriously, freak show and asylum. The season probably made me angry once characters started dying 😕
I know Mat in real life! Hes fabulous and so great and just lights up a room when he enters and he knows you are there. I've had those wonderful arms around me and he just is a wonderful friend who I admire and never forgotten the other side of Mat thats so open and determined. Love him lots x
(Spoiler, I guess?:) I was SO sad when he died and then I was SO SO SOOO happy he got married to his love in the afterlife. Her was by far my favorite character in the season.
I would call myself a T-Rex if I had my arms like that and if someone made fun of me I'd kick them down with my legs and slap them with my hands. His character was pretty awesome and his acting was point on, he's a very talented and kind hearted man.
I love that the show had the true balls to do something like this..... they did it so Tastefully and weren't afraid to go grotesque and push what were the level of norm for television.... I love that they can both push the level of norm and the actors and still show respect and have clear lines drawn....
Been drawn to him from the very first time i laid eyes. It wasn't the tattoos, the clothes, hairstyle...it's those eyes.....and that voice..... the gentleness inside....Mat seems too perfect to be real
I really hope they bring him back in future seasons. Even a little cameo would make me happy ‘cause he’s a really good actor and he seems like a really cool person.
I was lucky enough to see Mat perform way before American horror story freak show was filmed and couldn't be happier to see him in it!! Such a talented man he is!
He is such a stand up, down to earth guy. The kind of person you'd like to go out and have a beer with. A handsome man with more physical talents than most people. My favorite 'freak' in the whole world :)
he's very good actor, handsome, brave and intelligent. and i'm glad to know that he's enjoyed so much. This serial is one of my fevourits specially for how they make it.
I love the tight knit bond they all have together, they celebrate there differences. They are great people and I wish I could work on the set with all of them
this is so inspiring to me, someone who has been dreaming of becoming an actor since i was small. it also proves no one can stop you from doing what you want or being who you want to be. thank you matt
I love Mat Fraser! Such an inspirational person. And the fact that his mother didn’t even care about his deformation in a time when most babies that were born “different” were shunned or locked away, that speaks volumes as to the type of person she is as well.
Dude this guy is the man...." there's two things people think you can't do when your disabled, fight and have sex.... so I got a black belt and I'm really good at shagging " I usually don't get along egocentric people but this guys ego and confidence is breath taking for someone in his situation.
i love how confident he is. his mother did a great job. good for him. he reminds me of the character of tyrion lanister but in real life. i mean it in a good way of course.
For me, it wasn't his phocomelia that I found hard to look at, it was the way the tattoos went up his neck and stopped at his chin...on my first viewing, I sincerely though it was the darkened skin (which I didn't realize was supposed to be tattoo ink) that was his 'freak' aspect and not the issues of his arms...I thought it was darkened scar tissue from being struck by lightening or something...amazing what the brain focuses on as the 'abnormality'
He was incredibly fortunate that his mother basically didn't blink. He has also likely made his mother incredibly proud with what he has done w/ his life. Well done!
