My Rankings: 4. Hedda - Only a tiny cameo, but she's amazing in her role! 3. Marjorie - Only con is that it was such a short lived role 2. Adelaide "Addie" Langdon - I love Addie but Nan just is too iconic 1. Nan - My Queen
everyone’s talking about how talented she is,, which is obviously true, she stole every scene she was in. but can we talk ab how pretty she is for a second? her smile is so gorgeous and bright.
Nan was one of the smarter witches. Clairvoyant and self aware. The scene where they’re talking about who could be the next supreme and she knows it could not be her is so meta. I could feel the hurt for her
No on the 2nd end, she was not self aware. She went toe to toe w Fiona and the voodoo queen, she even dangerously created a mess next door w the neighbor which Im sure Fiona would have to clean up w her powers. Nan got herself killed when Cordelia and everyone warned that Fiona is not to be trifled w.
@@gbrown932 I see lol but to be honest I don’t remember seeing any of those scenes with Neil Patrick Harris either .... 🤷🏾♀️ my memory just went right past these characters lol
I think she's an amazing actress and a living proof that disability means nothing. Her roles were remarkable, spot on and well acted. I really wish she will be in many future seasons.
I loved her in Murder House I think Addie was her best character. Also please please please do a breakdown of Roanoke! I know everyone hates on it but it is my absolute favourite season!
I'd always loved her in Murder House, but after watching this summary I think I may like her performance in Freak Show more. That was a really impressive performance.
Dope actress. I too look forward to seeing her in future seasons of AHS & other Shows, she is the original scream queen after all, maybe a Chanel scream off.
Adelaide was always one of my favorites but at the same time so was Marjorie, and I absolutely loved her as Nan. I think I really fell in love with Jamie's acting with Marjorie.
Such a fantastic actress literally she can be so sweet and lovable but also be terrifying in other roles i.e Adelaide and Nan are such sweet characters but then you have Marjorie and her character from cult which are terrifying
I can't get enough of Jamie Brewer! I got into AHS because I saw her in Murder House, which my daughter had just started watching. She was so good as Adelaide, so I was pleased when she was cast as Nan in Coven. Another great performance ensured she would become a fan favourite. I understand that there may not be a role for her in every series, but I do hope that they will give her a more substantial part in future.
With Jaime, they really need to be careful on which precise roles they have her take on. they want to assure her character isn't put in a belittling way for too long. which I think they do a good job of making Jaime very unsettling (Character wise). From Coven to Freak Show. She certainly puts her all into it.
Can we have another witch season that talks about Nan and how she ended up at Miss Robichaux's? I LOVE the other witches don't get me wrong, but the show didn't really say anything about her that much - like it was all about her clairvoyance power and not her backstory.
I love that her character in Coven, Nan, has absolutely nothing to do with her disability. It’s not wrong to cast disabled actors because you want to portray a disabled character. But as a disabled/ill person myself it’s so wonderful to see disabled actors star in roles that have nothing to do with it!
Interesting little bts tidbit from Coven: Gabourey Sadibe, the actress who played Queenie, initially didn’t want to film the scene where they summon Papa Legba, because she thought it would summon him. Tbh I kinda think the writers should have done better research about the different voodoo entities. In the show, Papa Legba is the voodoo god/loa of death, and takes souls with him to the afterlife. In the voodoo pantheon, he’s actually a trickster god, like Loki from Norse mythology. I think they confused Papa Legba with Baron Samedi, who’s the legit voodoo loa of death. I still enjoyed his character immensely, and Lance Reddick did an amazing job playing him.
I don't blame her. I know some people think it's silly but messing with spirits irl is just not a good idea lol. Also I agree they should have done more research, same with Satanism in Apocalypse tbh
