Our hearts totally melted when we met 16-year-old Kayden Stephenson, who suffers from cystic fibrosis. With an estimated lifespan of 35 years, this young singer decided to make his dream of appearing on American Idol come true by attending the Oklahoma City auditions.
Singing "The Longest Time by billy Joel" he stole the judges' heart with his stellar tone and charming demeanor. Nicki Minaj even commented that his voice reminded her of a young Michael Jackson.
So how far will Kayden get in Season 12? Well, it turns out he doesn't get past Hollywood Week despite his incredible cuteness and heartwarming backstory . Hopefully he won't be deterred from auditioning again next season!
