American Music: Kate Wolf 

Only heard her sing green eyes last week , never heard of her before. Played the song over and over all day. Beautiful , thanks to you tube

Met her back stage at Kerrville Folk Festival. I sent her with Nena Berber, a grape vine heart with a crystal hanging in the middle.I received a thank you post card from Kate, I stil keep in my guitar case.

I only discovered Kate last year and have become so entranced by her and her music I needed to know as much as I could about her. This programme has allowed me to get a little closer to her spirit and that pleases me immensely. I did like to discover that Kate wrote Green Eyes for Terry, it is a favourite of mine and so good to know that it has such significance. As part of my need to honour her I flew to California this past January to attend the 75th Anniversary Concert held in her honour. I was delighted to meet Max and Hannah and their families and other folk who knew and loved her (that must have been easy). Had the pleasure of spending a little time with Gloria whilst waiting in the queue to enter the Freight & Salvage. I was able to acquire an early copy of the CD she was involved in. I can only endorse the hope that its release will bring more people to know and love Kate and her music. I miss few opportunities to endorse her here in the U.K. I was fortunate enough to gather a good selection of the CD's and a good collection of photos that Max generously allowed me to have. Like so many, my regret is that Kate left us far too early but I am grateful that she left such a great legacy for us all. Thanks for the Show, it means a lot to me.

I used to see her all the time at the Inn of the Beginning in Cotati. Way in the early days.

Wonderful documentary. I also only discovered Kate a year ago and I was blown away by her talent but especially the rare warmth in her voice. I am not a performer but sing for pleasure and I have started (very humbly to keep her spirit going ) , do some covers of Kate's songs. I hope I can do her justice. Excellent documentary on Kate Wolf, who was an inspiration to me in the late 70's and early 80's. Voice of an angel. Peaceful and heartfelt. I can't thank you enough for the upload. I feel lost now.There was a time in the late70's and early 80's when Kate's music (and other similar artists) helped me define myself. I hope, by listening to her music (magic) again, I can reconnect with myself. I'm planning on attending the 2018 Kate Wolf festival. Blessings, peace, and grace to all. Thanks again for the upload.

If you don’t know who Kate wolf was, go to Wikipedia what a pleasant surprise . My late discovery like 4 or 5 years ago will always be question that will never be answered . Knowing Gordon lightfoot , John Denver, Peter Paul Mary , all of it from 50s to late 80s and love for country and blue grass , I will always wonder why I never heard of her before . Something diff and beautiful. Put Kate on you tube, exposure , exposure. Beautiful voice, beautiful talent , beautiful music, beautiful woman. Yes the good sometimes die young.

Just wanted to send this message to Kate's son ,Max daughter Hanmah or manager. I wanted to ask if there is an actual autobiography or biography book about Kate Wolf? I know there are songbooks, pamplet story in DVD, but I am looking for a biography/or biography? If not one ever written yet, are there any plans for one to be published in the near future? Thank you.
