American Rap Videographer REACTS to Ren Love Music Pt 3 - FIRST TIME REACTION 

Thank you Joe for the reaction. The film clips are from the 1941 The Marx Brothers movie Hellzapoppin' which was remarkable not only for featuring people of colour but actual Harlem NY NY dancing superstars and building some of the "plot" around them just so they could show off to a movie audience. Frankie Manning (Whitey's Lindy Hoppers), Martha Raye, Dean Collins. A movie about the production of a movie about still another movie about the (then real and existing) Broadway musical named Hellzapoppin', that quickly falls into chaos. Ren included a history lesson for us in this one, at least to the dancers and old movie buffs.

Ren is the everything musician ❣️ Can write both music and lyrics, can sing, can rap, can play multiple instruments, makes his own beats, produces and directs to make his visions come to life. Can't wait for part 4 and every other thing Ren does. What a bright light he is in a dim world. 🤟🏻

Joe E! The long held note at 10 minutes was a nod to Jeff Buckley, who I would lovvvvvve- considering how genuinely and visibly you feel music- to see you react to. Hallelujah is his most well known song/video and reactors tend to react to his live performances (which are amazinnnng), but I’d love love love to see you react to his actual music videos- So Real, Last Goodbye, Everybody Here Wants You, Forget Her, and his title track Grace. I Know It’s Over is an *incredible* music video posthumously released a few years ago.

This was the first of the Love Music series I had heard and I love them all but this one hooked me into listening to the first two so it will always be the song in my head when anyone mentions this song series. This video so reminds me of the early days of the Old Grey Whistle Test! A UK late night music show, an alternative to Top of the Pops, focusing more on blues and rock in its early days in the 70s. In the days before the proliferation of music videos if they couldn't get a band in to perform live, they would air the track with silent movie clips or old cartoons. This video has been a serious nostalgia trip.

It's such a fun vibe. It's comedy without it being too cheesy. ( I dont know if you have that term in the US. I guess you'd probably say corney but you might say cheesy too....🤷‍♀️) And offers some very light relief from his heavier tracks. He can really take you through every emotion in a single playlist 😊

It’s the hook on part 3 which is just so catchy and great to blast out on the commute to work to get me feeling a bit more ready for the day.

His love for music is infectious.

What an enjoyable reaction. I love this song, it's a treasure trove of punny goodies and cool references. What a pleasure it is to hear Ren just having a super fun time on a track. Loved seeing you pause because you were laughing -- I burst out laughing at the Han Solo bar when I first heard it, too. I love that movie Hellzapoppin. I see where another commenter says it's a Marx Bros. movie, but the Hellzapoppin movie I know is not. It does star Shemp Howard and some other NY comedian types, and it's certainly shot in the irreverent Marx style, breaking the fourth wall and all. It's worth watching just for Whitey's Lindy Hoppers, IMO.

Nice job. On your thumb nails it would really help to add the song title to the image or early in the description. On my phone I only see Rens face and part 3, and the description tails off before giving a song name. For part 3 it’s easy, but on most videos there’s no idea what song it is.

I thought the fear and loathing film was good, yh, but the book is so much better ( even crazier tbh). I saw an interview once, with Hunter S. Thompson, where he says a lot of it is based on true events that he experienced when going to Vegas. The amount of pop culture references in this (and the previous 2 songs) is amazing, including the great video clips stitched together in this particular one, never mind the lyrical skill in how he puts it all together. I can't wait _'four'_ the next part later today 👍🏻
