Everything Dimash does , he does to perfection. Dimash really likes Michael Jackson, and this was that style. Dimash has a red belt in Taekwondo, so these moves are part of his trainings. He makes all of us wish we were half as good as he is at everything!! He produced his own music video, called “Qairan Elim”, during Covid. It is a prayer for his country and the world that despite these terrible times, we will pull through. The scenery is impressive, so are the special effects, and naturally, the singing. Dimash's inspiration were his idols - MJ and Jackie Chan. Music - Dimash Qudaibergen. Lyrics - English: Jordan Arakelian (Dimash's back vocalist), Kazakh rap - Dauren Shamuratov. As a teenager, Dimash got keen on taekwondo classes, to which he devoted four years. During this time, he achieved great success in eastern martial arts and became the owner of the red belt. Usually in traditional Korean taekwondo the red belt is just before gaining a first degree black belt, or first Dan. But when he had to choose between music and sports, he preferred the former. In addition, he began to experience health problems, and in order not to give up the sport completely, the guy took up swimming. Even now he enjoys visiting the pool at every convenient opportunity, believing that a professional vocalist must be a sporty and physically tough person.

my favorites from dimash include "kieli meken" and "durdaraz". they're not hugely popular among the fanbase, but they're a tiny bit on the heavy(ish) side, which makes my rock & metal loving heart very happy. i wish he'd go into heavy music more often, he's got the voice for it!

Dimash really did study Tae Kwon Do for a few years and was really into it but had to quit for fear of injuring his diaphragm. He swims to strengthen his breath control and uses the pool when staying in hotels during his travels. Sinful Passion, Ave Maria, and Ikanaide are great examples of his breath control, oh, and, Olympico, and Stranger.

He can do it all and you never know what to expect, he always has a surprise and I love it!!! 😉
