I’m a Brit & I have seen a few of your videos now, always enjoy them & like your laid back style & appreciation for all you watch. You always get a thumbs up from me. There is mention made of an American couple who walked the Cotswold way. They had filmed their walk for the family but they were a real hit once the Brits saw what they were doing. They’ve become YT celebrities without realising just how inspiring their walk was. They do the walk over a 9day period & I was glued to it. Such a great couple & it gives you an appreciation of a different part of the country (The Cotswolds) Best wishes from Cheshire, North West England

Talking about walking without getting shot by the landowner theres a video of some mountain bikers in Scotland who bump in to the land owner who stops and has a nice chat with them. Doesn't sound like much but the landowner was King Charles.

There are a few comments on your channel about another epic hike (Hiking the Cotswold Way: Off Day Adventures). Another ancient footpath. A lovely American couple wanted to celebrate their thirtieth birthdays by doing something epic. They decided to fly to England and walk 102 miles along the beautiful Cotswold hills. The very first day they hit problems - painful ones. They walked for nine gruelling days. We got caught up in their journey and watched every videoed step. They were such a great couple we just wanted them to realise their dream. Did they make it all the way to Bath? Well that's a tale for another day. Love from the UK

Thumbs up from me! People also walk, drive or cycle the entire length of England and Scotland, from Land's End in Cornwall to John O'Groats in the north of Scotland. That's 603 miles/970 Km. People often do it to raise funds for charities. Yes, the red thing was a phone box. These days they don't always have phones in them. Some have defibrilators, others are used as mini-libraries, it depends on what the people in the area want them to be. Alfred Wainwright wrote a lot of books about hiking. He illustrated them and drew his own maps, lovely descriptions. As far as I know they are still for sale. At one stage Wainwright had his own TV programme too. He was a lovely unassuming man who did a great deal to help people to explore these beautiful places. The weather is not always as kind as it was on the days this was filmed! It appears to be spring so he was very, very , lucky with it. Britain is always windy, I am writing this on 8th August and the wind has been blowing the trees here all day. But there's nothing better than being on the top of one of those hills with the cool wind blowing in one's face. I don't agree with his view of the Moors, he might not say it in late summer when everywhere is purple with the flowering heather. Shame on him for not liking God's own county!

Hi-lights for me, passing Robin Hood’s grave, beautiful sunsets, birdsong, and a 1000 mile socks😁 Also loved the strange looking sheep, cows, calves, and reindeer, and The Moors reducing him to ‘I can’t stand Yorkshire’😄 Poor guy was cold, windswept, and hangry, and definitely deserved a few mardy minutes by then. Fantastic achievement, and Bravo to him for getting to throw his pebble on the other side of the country into Robin Hood’s Bay.👏

I walk uo to 12 hours with a record player in my pack and play old Ska/Reggae music on cliffs/craggs, and on the moors, i often post videos of my travels, they is nothing better than playing your favourite music, with a pear and blackberry crumble, with a nice whisky liquor, its like an open air concert for one with great tunes, and a fantastic view, a great way to rest up, and the occasional hikers looks puzzled when they see playing music so far out, but they soon enjoy a rest and shared food and drink

@NAIATHEDRAGON I don't go every day, but I can't drive so it's about a 3-4 hour walk to get there, then I spend hours in the area, and then I've got the walk back to do, that's one reason I make the most of the rest period, music, drink and food, it makes the way back lighter and I feel more rested then I would by just sitting there for abit, and by videoing my music it it makes it feel more worthwhile

New York to California (San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego). I did that in my 20s - however, I did it riding on a Greyhound bus, with key stops along the way (incl. Chicago and Denver). Then after spending time in California I returned to New York travelling through the southern states via Texas, Louisana (New Orleans). Florida (St Petersburg), then up through the Eastern states. 😃

4:03 that really annoyed me. More than is reasonable. "Ennerdale Water or something like that?" You're doing one thing and you're stopping at that place. Look it up in advance. Know your route. If people have to leave their families to come and save you and you think " I'm over here or something like that" cuts it. Sorry, that became a rant, didn't mean it. I apologise.
