Last week, I watched "Bottom" from start to finish and I absolutely loved it, that was such a treat. Although some people on IMDb's message board complain that the third series was cartoonish, I don't mind that, to me it's equally good as the first two seasons. My favorite episodes are "Apocalypse", "Holy" and "Finger". But the other episodes are not far behind those three. A lot of times the sequence of events was so silly and surreal that it made me think: 'Oh no, they're not gonna go that far' and they always did. The violent slapstick is marvelously executed and so are the duologue's between Eddie and Richard. Supporting characters, especially Dave Hedgehog and Spud Gun are also charming. I was glad to see Helen Lederer as a guest star, whenever I see her on screen I remember Catriona from Ab Fab. All in all, this is a great show. I give it a 10/10

I first watched and recorded them during their original broadcasts. Overall i thought each new series was better than than the last, but my favourite overall episodes are S'Out from the second series, and Gas from the first series.

bottom is my all time favourite old comedy. my parents saw their live shows and they said they were even better live!

In answer to your question "What the hell is happening?", the sound of the fairground ride was pushed high up in the mix to cover the fact that he had said "I know what you gypsies get up to". Similarly, "Thieving bastard yobbos" was dubbed to cover a fairly noticeable slur present in the original broadcast and earlier video/DVD releases. My guess is they decided to edit it rather than have the argument about how it's Richie, and not the show's writers, that holds somewhat bigoted views.

There's a whole generation that grew up watching Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson, I spent my weekends watching VHS tapes of Bottom, the Young Ones and Red Dwarf I'd recorded off the TV over and over when I was a kid, the Bottom Live releases they did were really good too, including them messing up and Rik taking the piss out of the audience lol

You know what, my dad passed away in 2003, he was 80. Don't worry this isn't going to be depressing ha. He watched nearly every sitcom from the early 60's onwards. The funniest one he religiously watched was Bottom. He absolutely loved it. He was a 70 something sitting there and watching it a laughing his bo@@@@@ off every night. Says a lot for the genius of Ade and Rik.

Each episode of Bottom is fantastically ridiculous, I think that's why its so appealing, it takes you completely out of reality for 30mins

Bottom is brilliant & an all time classic comedy, you should react to the movie they did together called “Guesthouse Paradiso” it’s only short (1hr ish) & very funny, also doesn’t have the “studio audience” laughing in the background (which can get abit annoying tbf)!? 😅 Great reaction again though, keep them coming!! 👍😁

This actually happens to be my least favourite episode, but the fact that I still find it very funny in places proves how great this show is. Episodes I really recommend you watch noah are Gas, Break, Digger, S out and Burglary.

Rick Mayall had his last role in "Man down" a show I think you would love. It is like a grown up Mr Bean with a bit of inbetweeners thrown in ( not just because of Greg Davis, but his character is so desperate but completely inept at everything )
