SOS is the song that introduced Dimash to the world and opened many great opportunities and collaborations for him. This song comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania', which is well known in French-speaking countries, and is a pretty difficult song to sing. In 2017 Dimash received a wild card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant ever at 22 years old and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part in this competition. Although well-known and respected in his homeland Kazakhstan, nobody in China knew or heard about Dimash before, but with his first song, SOS, Dimash shocked the audience and captured the hearts of over 600 million of viewers overnight, and the rest is history as the saying goes.

Dimash is the greatest singer out there. From Kazakhstan but has just moved (temporarily) to the US to study Film Directing. He already has a Bachelors, Masters and had just completed his Doctoral studies and Thesis. He is athletic (red belt in Taekwondo, Horseback riding in the mountains of Kazakhstan, he is a swimmer, but mostly underwater to keep his breath control top knotch. He is, like many Kazak's, Eurasian and is tall at 6'3" and has friends who are taller than he is. I discovered him almost 7 years ago and have followed him since then. He is a singular individual. There is simply no other human with this voice and talent. His voice/range, his ability to sing in languages he does not (fluently) speak himself (German, French, Italian and a few more aside of his own language. He originates from Kazakhstan). Impressive in any way. The rabbit hole of his is quite impressive and you definitely want to check out his version of The Love of Tired Swans. It is beautiful and absolutely mindbogglingly impressive.
