In the modern era of professional rugby most teams have realized they need at least two or three Fijians in their match day squads. Fiji took it one step further and fill their entire squad with Fijians. The big fast beardy bloke is Semi Radrandra.

I work with a lot of Fijians in the British Army, they are so humble and Loyal, Fiji is a country I’d love to go to. One thing I love about them is they look after their Mums, they send 15% of their wages to back to as a thank you for bringing them up, that’s some good values and they are the most obsessed Rugby nation.

No team with more attacking flare in the world but often let down by their discipline and structure over 80 mins in the 15s game. They put him big hits but as a consequence, leave gaping holes in their defence that top teams will exploit quite easily.

@@QSNgg Loose head prop. Only at a semi professional level but made enough money to cover my beer after the games! Ironically, those beers are probably the reason I didnt go pro haha. I was however, lucky enough to share the field with some welsh legends, Sam Warburton and Dan Biggar to name drop a couple. Really enjoy the videos mate. As someone who played for over 25 years, I take for granted some of the plays you pick up on and your reactions remind me why I love the game. Keep it up!

No Fijian are not Melanesians, they just like every other country in the pacific region are people of the Oceania and part of the biggest continent in the world (the Pacific Ocean). Melanesian/ Polynesian/ Micronesian was a term given just recently to put us in categories. But you ask anyone from the Pacific and they would say I’m a pacific Islander

The Move at 3:32 is crazy to me to beat 2 defenders. Its a Hezi in the air followed by a right step into a goose step Fend and takeoff. The Hezi puts the first defender in all sorts then bang right step. Attacker is already thinking about his next move for the 2nd defender which is a goose step fend. I have never once thought about putting these moves together but have done them countless times lol My go to move is always a double right or double left step with fend at the end to beat 2 defenders lol Amazing!

Fiji is interesting because they are Melanesian ethnically, but culturally much more likely thier Polynesian neighbours in Tonga and Samoa. There is also a lot of mixing between Tongans and Fijians in the south of Fiji.

I take back what I said in a different comment. The number one thing you need to watch before anything else are some videos on Siya Kolisi. If you haven't already. His story is so inspirational. He is simply the best current leader in sports right now period. Amazing player, better captain, better person. Andrew Forde has a video on him, there is another from die hard rugby, and some interviews.

Mate I'm South African and think Kolbe is definitely one of the best players at the moment, but i think most People forgot about Christian Cullen(The Paekakariki Express) one of the true greats and a thorn in the Springbok side every time he played against them. Fijians are Melanesians but there are Polynesians too, culturally intertwined, similar to Solomons have both Melanesians and Polynesians. Similarly PNG is Melanesians, they also have Polynesians too.
