A good German house insulations means, no real need for a AC and low heating costs in the winter, and the seasons in Germany can mean +30° to 35°C in the summer and -10°C in the winter. The Rolladen are shut down in the heat and cold and keep the heat or cold outside. So if there are 35°C outside, you have 26°C with shot down rollades inside, without a AC.

This standard of building has multiple benefits... as a example, you always know where the power lines and water pipes are. It makes it very easy to avoid them if you want to install things on walls...

In my country it is 1 circles for each room but only for contacts lighting is on a separate circuit. Large power consumers such as cooker and water heater are on their own circuit

ok, other companies does it different but i never worked in a company and lay the cables without protection on the floor. there are so many people working in one building and nobody givs a sh*t were hes stap on. you can easily pull out a cable out of the wall because you stumble over it. the sockets next to the doors i would put it in combination with the switch. thats the socket usualy you use only for plug in the vacuum cleaner and therefore its more convenient to have it higher next to the switch. we use only cement based plaster. the gypsum based plaster that they use in this video can mold.

5:38 Who hasn't experienced this? The woman of the house decides what it will look like. And the man of the house then has to realise it.

The electrical installation in the floor is not a standard, especially because you kill the option of having heated floors with it or you make it unecessary complicated. Normally cables are on the wall between 15 and 45 cm (6-18in) under the ceiling and all cables to sockets will be perpendicular above the socket. The outlets for the ceiling lamps will use the shortest path from the connection box on the wall. Cables have to be 2cm ( 0.8in) deep under the plaster. That way you will always know where you are not in danger to hit a cable if you are drilling a hole. On thing done in Germany that is not a standard in the USA is a GFCI for the whole house and additional ones with higher security for wet rooms. The installation on the floor is aa risk at building time, too. It's easy for a builder to trip over the loose cables and rip them of them flor when tripping. The only cable that normally will come through the floor is the connection to the power grid, because the German power grid is underground and not above ground on poles like in most USA states.

Please check the tilt of your mic (i think it has to be completely vertical) and what kind of microphone capsule is used to position it correctly. The loudness differences shouldn't be there. Another issue is a distortion when you speak plosives link p or k but i think a pop filter should do it.

Usually lights and sockets are on different circuits.
@Anson_AKB
@Anson_AKB 6 месяцев назад
i never have seen that. where i was aware of the circuits, they always had one fuse and thus one power line per room (or two rooms if they were smaller and without strong consumers). this has pros and cons, eg when lights go out because of a short circuit, some rooms still have light and you are not left in the dark, and you also know better which room you have to check. otoh, power failures because of items that are connected to sockets are the usual cause of the problem and separate lights most often wouldn't shut down too. this also may vary depending on the time of the installation, eg in a new house you can do whatever you want, but when you want to add a socket or outlet later, it can be more difficult to find a good connection point without the need to install additional visible cables or splitter boxes.

@@Anson_AKBMy last appartement (90ies) had seperate fuses for light and sockets, but a few rooms connected. My now house (60ies) has it in one level. In another level everything (except stove) is on one fuse. I also added some sockets to light circuits because it was much easier.

Marble windows sills, yes, that's what I have, too. There ain't nothing better. If you don't use acidic cleaners on them, they'll last for generations. Granite on the outside, well, that's expensive, but it's also a kind of stone that's indestructible. And I like the way they thoroughly sealed the window frames so you won't have trouble with moisture in the walls, and thought of the tilt angle of the outside sills. Seriously, those windows impress me. That's how it should be done when you build a new house. What I don't like about these videos is that they always say how fast they were, but not how many workers were involved. If you have four or even six workers, with a team of two setting one window at a time, and a mason doing the sills, you'll be finished in no time. But usually you don't have so many people.

Oof. A central switch for all the blinds of the house. What a terrible idea. As soon as their kid is 5-6 years old, they will regret that decision.

ok, now that there is a roof on the top and windows and doors to close up everything, one can start to put the valuable stuff into the house ... XD in the next steps someone has to do the sanitary installation, all the plumbing, heating and - if wanted - gas pipes being mounted before one pours the floor in. This will possibly bring a lot of water in the house that needs to dry up again. So people like to do that work when temps are above thawing temps - and stay there ... ;-). When I came to Canada in 1988 and saw how north american houses were built I wished we would do that in germany too. For all those folks who are ok with building a house just for themselves and not for the next 4 or 5 generations to come. Meanwhile also this frame base style to build houses, even prefab is on the market. Of course they also put in those systems some german ingenuity to rock the market here, where this kind of build is considered 'cheap'. Problem still is, that the crediting banks do not perceive wooden built structures as valueable as stone or concrete built ones. That affects the terms of business for them. One might not get as lavishly financed as with a 'traditional' built. On the other hand - the savings in the cost might be worth it for families with less savings also can move into their own property. The other thing is, that the city has a say what can be built on a lot of land. There's of course german bureaucracy and of course we have cultivated this typical german trait also in our civil building codes (sigh). There are companies offering houses sold from Canada - like made from massive logs - and then cut everything ready for construction, load it into 40 ft containers, ship it here and build it in that typic rustique style. Awesome, too ... :)

The audio is way better. I dont have to change my speakers anymore. Only issues are too close/far away from the mic and talking while the video is running. Otherwise its decent and as a non expert I coulnt tell you what else to change anymore. Good job.
@CavHDeu

Not way better but better. There is still a noticeable distortion when plosives are used. A pop filter might be the solution.

distance and also the right angle and speaking direction. In the first 40 seconds of this video you can clearly hear the effect of not speaking directly into the microphone multiple times. I think you can reduce the problem if you change the angle of the microphone. But the good thing is, that the difference between your volume and the volume of the video is not so big any more

People who build their houses from scratch without already including network infrastructure are complete buffoons to me, I gotta say. Absolute clowns.
@HenryLoenwind
@HenryLoenwind 5 месяцев назад
I'd add those who don't put their network installation in conduits to that list. That's fine for electrical, there's no reason to expect anything to change about those wires, but networking is quite short-lived in comparison.

German technology and how they do things is how a civilization will survive as the people of Germany all jobs makes civilization thrive but problems exist and we go no where so your not evolving either it's unfortunate but that why I support Germans and Germany to survive in this universe and other even other life forms doing what is best but first focus on problems don't care what anyone says because Germany has military just like any other place on earth that we know of but that's why there's scientists duh pssshh sometimes other humans are bad for civilizations on earth or if humans want to convince others I mean other life like us humans would have to be could be another topic but it does matter when it's time for humans to make a decision but that's why Germany is important for NATO and Europe make Germans surrounded by NATO allies in Europe so Germany is important also the space force of U.S and also powerful military to fight against aggressor and terrorists to be exact or invaders to earth even if we have enemies are self we will fight both regressors and if you want to not be an enemy just come to U.S through processes and other ways you truly don't have problems simple
