Lowkey is a British-Iraqi rapper with a PhD in history. He won't sign to labels because they'll censor him, that's why he said "the politics took away my voice but the music gave it back to me". Yes he still make's music, he took a 8+ year hiatus because he was under a lot of heat for things he was speaking on (terrorist pt 1 and 2 break down his life). He came back few years ago with "The Return of Lowkey" track.

Lowkey is a Legend. Soundtrack to the Struggle is always on my playlist as well as all his brilliant songs. Akala is great too and Lowkey is his longtime friend. ( I love Behind my Painted Smile they did together) Thanks for your videos, I found you recently and just subscribed to your channel:-)

Listen to Terrorist before Obamanation part 2 . Lowkeys album , Soundtrack To The Struggle, is one of my favourite albums of all time . Definitely worth a listen. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

this man along with akala is on a different level and they both for the same reason don't get any radio play. you should check out more of lowkey even if it's not his politicial songs

Try Lowkey -Fire in the booths 1-2. Return of Lowkey and Goat Flow. He was blackballed because of his politic lyrics, he says how it is, very smart and yes owns his own masters like Akala and some other smart rappers. He's still active too.

I wonder how many ppl have caught the "unintended" triple to, maybe quadruple Entendre in this track: _"....You could _*_K_*_ all(call) it _*_K_*_ hristopher _*_K_*_ olumbus syndrome!"_ Those words obviously start with the letter C, but his rapping produces an alliteration of 3 "K" sounds for....KKK *Entendres* 1. Christopher Columbus - supposed founded of America who ppl actually celebrate 2. Christopher Columbus was caused massive genocide & committed unspeakable acts 3. The irony of Columbus being such a bigot & hence a "syndrome" of something America suffers from 4. The "K" "K" "K" alliteration sound saying _"You could call it Christopher Columbus Syndrome"_
