Ren writes the music, lyrics, beats, plays all the instruments, raps, sings, backs, beatboxes, mixes, produces, and nearly everything else in most of his videos. The one ting he can't really do is hold the camera, so that's handled by the equally talented Samuel Perry-Falvey.
Hell yeah. Dope reaction. Saw a run through of this that Ren did before filming final one take version and he seems to tire easily. Exhausted at the end.
The twitch at the start was intentional but it illustrates some of the side effects from the medication he had to take. This was said above, it was his way to show how it was from his past He was making a monster, side effects.
Ren said previously he's actually not that good at freestyling, he's more the type of writing his lyrics and performing them. So don't think a cypher would really be the right environment for him tbh. Hey, the man's gotta have something he's not that good at or he would be too perfect lol
Yeah that's a totally different discipline that has to be cultivated over many years of practice. It might be something he simply wasn't interested in pursuing - still I'm sure if he applied himself to the art he would get there eventually. He improvises live musically in other ways when he performs.
His misdiagnoses and the harmful medication he was given (before they knew what he had) apparently played havoc with his body, so yeah. His twitches at his worst looked like that. Took a lot to get him to the (mostly) better state you see now. ❤
@@itsemotion-o It's all good. I knew it wasn't meant to be taken as a dig. I think if it was a taboo subject Ren himself wouldn't recreate those movements in this track and even more so in his latest 'Illest of Our Time'.
He puts a ton of his past history into his songs. You can hear it in his words, see it in his actions, and see it in the scenery often. The biggest thing is the recurring theme of animal masks. This has to do with the psychosis he has. He regularly has visions of/dreams about people in creepy animal masks.
REN is a problem serious! The twitch etc was a nod to frankensteins monster. He made a monster of a rap with all the different flows. The beatboxing is ren of course, he produces his own 🖤
