Just so you know pal I’m English and I only discovered Still Game 2 months ago myself on Netflix and ended up watching the whole series at least 3 times and now I’m watching you watch it and it never gets old! You should be at least 100K subscribers man, some of the best reactions I’ve ever seen love it

bxkid7 You are correct in saying you get so involved in a show it’s like nothing else, great characters, great people who you can relate to with funny punchlines! I’m sad it will end you reacting to Still Game! I’d advise reacting to Kevin Bridges stand up, and series wise I’d go for the IT Crowd

Me too, decided to watch on Netflix after all those years when I saw it advertised on the BBC at the time, I passed by this show, to my great shame. Made up for it though, once I watched the lot, bought the boxset!

I’m from Glasgow, there is/was a general assumption that still game wouldn’t work outside of Scotland. The jokes and accents were uniquely scottish. But it’s great to see they’re not. Anybody can enjoy them. Especially our closest most beloved rival England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 can enjoy them. I heard in season 4 episode 1 they broadcast on bbc 1 all over the uk for the first time (instead of just Scotland) and some people think around season 4 they adjusted the characters and stories to be more internationally accessible, even the actors tried to speak clearer and less emphasis on the accent.

If you don't understand the Bill and Ben joke, you see Bill and Ben was British children's TV show which was first broadcast in 1952 and got a reboot in 2001. Bill and Ben were flowerpot men so they talked in a language that went "Flobbadobbalob".

Once you finish S6, before S7 you should check out the live show they did in 2014 at the Hydro. It was the first thing they did since S6. You should be able to find it on youtube, though its pretty long.

awesome. you know there's two season 6 specials, as well as three more seasons of this as well, right? they fell out for about 7 years but then made up and did another three seasons. I can send you them if you can't get them. If not, try One Foot in the Grave; it's a dark, slightly surreal comedy.

One Foot is a contender for my all time fave sitcom. It is absolutely hilarious, although it does have a very dark heart that is rare for a sitcom of this type. It is wonderful stuff.

"Hyper" is definitely one of my favourite Still Game episodes, and if the series had ended after Series 6, it would have ended very strongly. Porridge, Red Dwarf, Father Ted, and One Foot In The Grave are Series' I'd love to see you react to next.

@@Maesterful I've been a massive fan of Rising Damp since I was a child growing up. I watched re-reuns of it in the 80's, and was enamoured with it. It's easily in my top 10 sitcoms. :) I didn't love Steptoe as much as Rising Damp, but I liked it, and have watched it many times over the years.

Fun fact. Hyperdales was actually filmed in Costco. It' different from the US though. Not everyone can get a membership card

It's hard to be loyal to the smaller shops these days, they just can't compete with the supermarkets on prices. My local Asian shop has just closed because of covid and he was already struggling before all this because of the supermarkets nearby. When you're on a limited budget for shopping you don't have much of a choice.

After episode 6 there's the 2007 xmas special (Plumb Number) and new year special (Hootenanny). The end of the show imo as there was a nine year gap before series seven, and with s7,8,9 the pacing is much slower

After this episode and you go into series 7 and 8 they take a bit of a downturn in quality imo. They took a break the guys who play jack and victor and actually had a falling out, made up then resuming the show a few years later. It’s still funny but was never the same
