Don't think this has been mentioned before but you've probably already noticed that the theme of the house changes from series to series. Quite subtle at first, but then more apparent as the show progresses, most noticeable through the large portrait of Greg in the lounge, which changes to reflect a particular artistic style or time period. So in order: 1. Warhol; 2. Dali; 3. Lichtenstein; 4. Van Gogh; 5. Magritte; Champion of Champions: Royalty; 6. Escher; 7. Picasso; 8. Anime; 9. Arcimboldo; 10. Western; New Year's Treat: Classic Cinema/Keaton; 11. Soviet Russia; 12. Steampunk; 13. Mexico/Day of the Dead; 14. Circus; 15. 1960s/Psychedelia; 16. Roaring Twenties; and most recent 17. Victorian/Gothic. And series 18 - yet to air - will be nautical!
Al is a big WW2 nerd and has presented several series on the subject so the Hitler book and the morse code task with the balloons. He lives near the Taskmaster house too.
I'm not sure you spotted it, but it's my moment of the episode. Paul on the balloons was dropping the Street Fighter "Haduken" on the occasional pop. Champagne comedy. Love Paul. Great reaction.
You're a Fraser fan too!!??? Hell yeah mate, Fraser is the bomb. On my first trip to the states, my mum, brother and I got to go and see a taping of a season 11 episode and it was a dream come true for my little fan girl heart.
Popping the balloons: When I first watched, I had the same idea for the secret message. So I freeze-framed it and started figuring out the letters. It took me 13 minutes to solve it on my phone. So this is one of those tasks where knowing the trick actually could have been detrimental to the contestants. 🎈🎈🎈
One thing I like about Taskmaster is that they don't fill the same "slots" each time. There's no equivalent to Richard Osman in this season, for example.
Paul is so crackling dry - everything he says is a riot. Sara is goofy and brilliant - check out the books she's written. Al is a national treasure - Oxford-educated history nerd. Check out his alter-ego The Pub Landlord.
Our local alumni parade has clowns on three-wheelers that drive around and high five people at the side of the road. I back waaaaaaaay tf up so they cant get to me. They literally give me the chills.
Always enjoy your reactions to each TM show! I was writing down to mention how how much more consistently you were laughing this episode and then you brought it up in your end reaction! So glad you have that self awareness and are able to just go with it where the show takes you. Never conforming to what others think you should think. Keep up the amazing work. Some day I will be able to afford to support your channels. Until then, I will love watching you have fun! Be true to you!
Always like your reactions! It’s interesting to see that you were so sad about leaving the people from series 1 behind, and now seeing you laughing so much more. I for myself didn’t notice it, but it certainly was similar for me I’m not sure if I misunderstood. But actually contestants will do tasks in different locations in the future but not in crowded places. So you will see them not only at night. 😊
Hello, check out a movie called, 1492: Conquest of Paradise. Adventure/Drama (1992). It stars Gérard Depardieu, Siqourney Weaver, Armante Assante. It portrays a version of the travels to the New World by the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus and the effect this had on indigenous peoples. Directed by Ridley Scott. Thank you, Chris.
I think my prize task would have been: I'd have written on something thing or some visual representation saying, " My Guilt." And then I'd argue why my guilt feels so heavy. So Yeah I'd go metaphorical and yet nowhere near as heavy as Hilter sh*t!🤭
@@DavidvsFilm ☺️☺️☺️ Sidenote .. Would you believe Gilmore Girls is one of those shows I've never watched a single episode?!? Along with The Sopranos...and get ready to gasp .. Friends! Not one episode of Friends...Crazy...I know!!!!
Oh SO much to unpack here... ok so with Sopranos, I think that is an amazing show, and getting into it singlehandedly prevented me from watching Godfather, Casino, Goodfellas. The reason is because I got obsessed, binged the whole series (which is pretty heavy), then when it was done I was exhausted and needed a break from mafioso content. I'm ready now lol You not seeing Friends is a great reminder to me that even when you think there is a movie or show that EVERYONE has seen, that is surely not the case. I combat this all the time with my first time watches. "You've NEVER seen Lord of the Rings?????? You've never seen Terminator?? Really??? (at the time). You're lying." Gilmore Girls is especially close to my heart, though, because that was an EARNED love. I HATED that show when I first tried it, and I tried it several times. But then one day I was home sick, I watched an episode that was particularly good, and it just clicked. Then I became a huge fan and I love it so much. I think you'd like all three, but of the three, I think this is the show that you personally would like the most.
@spooniesworld @DavidvsFilm When I read "I've never seen an episode of Friends," I immediately thought of Miriam Margolies on The Graham Norton Show confessing to Matthew Perry that she had never seen an episode of Friends! David, I remember your reactions to Miriam so well!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Watching your reactions has made me remember how much I love Sara’s chaos. For some reason I really don’t enjoy Al. I don’t think it’s his fault though because I haven’t figured out why.
