45 000 registered castles in France . The difference between castle and manor is not the size. A castle at its beginning had a military role and then gradually became a place of residence. The manor is the residence of nobility or healthy families outside biggest cities.

Hello from Nice ! I love living here as the city is beautiful with beautiful nature surrounding us. Not only do we have the sea, but also the mountains. I can drive for 1 or 2 hours and be on top of mountains as Nice sits at the foot of the Alps. I also have family that lives in Eze. Some of the places to check out here : Villefranche-sur-mer, Entrevaux, Touët-sur-var, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Théoule-sur-mer and Lantosque. Hope you visit us and have a great time here !

I lived in the Verdon and I can confirm this is the real color of the lake you were impressed by. (Lac de Sainte-Croix) , when you get to France, you will see that you can't see half of its gems, even us can't travel this much and see everything... So pick wisely my friend

Judging France or the UK from just Paris or London is like judging the U.S from New York. I think that worldwide the "real" countries are outside the cities - just a personal opinion of course.

From Luxembourg it takes 4 hours to go to Paris... much more to go to the Mont Saint Michel (much mor farther away) but it is really a superb place to visit... I have been there 5 times and always seing new stuff. I especially like discovering the small trails that I have never seen (but it can be a bit hard to go on those if you are not in a good condition and are scared of heights) Répondre

18:35 in... dude, I was the one that couldn't swim until I was 8 years old (everyone could do it but me... and now I am jumping from 10 meters high etc)... just slowly get into the water with a coach and you will get there with no problem. Actually, you don't need a coach, just stay by the side at the pool (in the water) and after a while you will get better. Now I dive from 10 meters high ! It is my best because the olympic pool I go to doesn't have any more than 10 meters

We have many things to offer... Paris and its awesome architecture... Provence - Côte d'Azur and the gorgeous landscapes like lavender fields... Brittany ... Lorraine, etc etc etc...

hi i have a tip for you to get better audio quality, i highly siggest you to use headphones instead of your computer speakers because we can hear the video through your microphone and it degrades the heck out of the audio, setup problems are the easiest to fix ^^

And I heard in the end of the video that you have to learn how to swim. So first of all you are not ashamed of it... great ! There is no shame in that. I thought I was an outsider but I learned quickly but not let that be the reason to not visit places... my GF from Brazil (São Paulo) she is always beside the pool etc because she can't swim and she doesn't whant to learn (that is a bit sad but ok)

Hey, don't worry about swimming if you go visit this places in europe. Just go and ask to poeple ! Will be funny experience and a good way to meet poeple. you can try where you can use your foot first. You will see, nothing hard, more about muscle memory like bicycle and fear barrier. You do not need to pay for learn it ! And when your more friendly with water, you can use Kayac , "Pedalo", Paddle, or anything else bigger to visit the spot you liked in the video. It always given witth an life jackets. Maybe kayac or Paddle will be harder to learn than swimming for you ! Close to big cities, english will be practice by french, or touristic spot like what you've seen in the video

It seems there is some distortion on the sound of the videos you're watching (your mic input doesn't saturate, tho), you might try to reduce the recording level in order to avoid saturation, then you can push the volume level when using your video/audio editing software. Bravo pour votre prononciation, je vous souhaite d'avoir l'opportunité de visiter la France prochainement. BTW you're spot-on about "tess touristy" places, they are way less crowded and still very enjoyable and relaxing. There are around 45,000 châteaux in France for 35,000 towns/cities. Fun fact : there are almost as much roundabouts (43,000) in France.
