They created this song based on their life experiences whwn they first strated learning music and started to make the band. They feel rejection from the surrounding community and families in the rural areas of Garut city, Indonesia. And now look at them!! Good job to all of them.

I've been following this band for 4 years and I really understand how and what they've been through when they play music especially metal music. But they are strong young females who are always enthusiastic even in circumstances full of limitations. Their music is strong and has deep lyrics. I wish the best for you and them.

Di awal main band mereka mendapatkan tentangan dari lingkungan orang tua dan beberapa guru di sekolah, Marsya beberapa kali mendapatkan ancaman pembunuhan dan pernah di lempar batu bocor di kepala, Siti pernah di kunci di toilet untuk menghentikan nya bermain drum, dan Widi basis pernah sebulan dilarang pegang bas dan itu membuatnya depresi, sampe sekarang pun ujaran kebencian atas nama agama masih sering mereka dapatkan, tapi di Indonesia ada banyak pihak yg terus mendukung dan melindungi mereka. Jadi mereka aman. Banyak komunitas yg menjaga mereka.

They grew up in a small village in west java and got bad treated by their environment including their family because they played music drum guitar and singing. This VOB metal band went to ustadz ( islam teacher) and told their experience. The teacher explained it is ok to play music then VOB created this song God pls allow me play music and become famous. However, it must be admitted that my country is not spared from the destruction of foreigners who want to divide our nation. We have had experiences like this for hundreds of years. You will see in Indonesia a lot of women wearing hijab still playing our traditional "gamelan" music in Sumatra, Java, and there is no problem here. They sometimes come to see " campursari " music concerts ( a mix of traditional and modern music ) such as at a didi kempot concert. thank you 😁

hey nails magee. checkout there back story. they went threw hell to get to where they are today. and most of it came from there family. the ones mom locked her up in the bathroom. adults hit them with rocks while they were on stage. i found these gurls the same time i found band-maid. the bassist gives misa a run for her money. also there younger then you think.

Baceprot means " Noisy " Because when they were Junior High School got punishment because always make noise in the Class But the teacher punished them in the good way , his introduce music to them and teached them Instrument and make some music together till now

My wife is from Indonesia. And believe it or not although a way small down in the percentage of the population. She happens to be born and raised Christian. Not easy for her and those are her faith there either. Although for the most part on the ground. Neighbor to neighbor family to family town to town. Most Muslims and Christians get along fairly well there. She has a mixed group of friends from all of those faiths. And I have met some of them here in the States who live here. And are really good and decent people and love this country as well.

I'm an Indonesian, honestly, I say, Vob Band, the pioneer of freedom of work. they are women who have dreams and want to dream of their dreams, their work is positive. They are not held in shackles by law or custom or hereditary traditions that women are grade 2 and they are.will prove and carry a mission at the world level for equality and freedom of work and they will carry a mission as well as the protection of women such as sexual harassment.

Worth mentioning that Indonesia where these women are from is a pretty gender-equal country (actually enshrined in law) I imagine in any country with fundamental religious folk would put the same kind of pressure these women have faced, including the Bible Belt.

VOB are very brave young woman band, in our country with their genre of music are rare wearing hijab's so they are moderate and open minded and also their family I am sure so supporting with their hobby of music.. Indonesia is not a moslem country, it is majority and the biggest population of moslems in the world. We have other religion as well and we are living UNITY IN DIVERSITY.. BHINEKA TUNGGAL IKA..

This song was written in response to common convention which challenges who they think they are to play music as Muslim females, or dare to express themselves and not mind their place. Their music teacher asked them if they believe in God (same God btw). If so, then write a song asking God for permission to play music. Then it's between them and God...and no one else's business. Inspiring story. Glad you reviewed it.
