Actually, the polite way to use knife and fork is knife on the right (to cut things and/or "direct" food to the fork), fork on the left (to actually put food inside the mouth).

I agree with all the comments One thing i find hard to believe in Portugal, is that most Portuguese don.t respect USA and have bad information regarding the USA who helped Portugal so much during the war!
