AMERICAN'S Watching All Blacks vs South Africa 2023 (Twickenham) IN DISBELIEF | REACTION #rugby #sports #highlights #reaction #explorepage #fypシ #fyp #viral
These are the two most formidable teams in the world, each with 3 World cup titles. So basically 66% of all world cups were won by these two teams, the All Blacks and Springboks (New Zealand & South Africa) have the biggest rivalry in the sport that has been going for over 100 years.
@@completelyunbiased1462 Yep! Bloody good game! Especially Etzabeth being used for bench pressing exercises by? A wing! So upset? Has to walk and then? Bomb Squad Nuked by our Spud Bench who has already put a 70 odd minute shift in ☘️👊🇮🇪🤣😆
Springboks is South Africa, All Blacks is New Zealand and both are leading the pack with 3 world cup titles each, and your country's national team are nicknamed The Eagles.
Regarding them coming out together, rugby is a combat sport, it's a martial art and there is tremendous discipline and respect between the teams. These are modern day gladiators but done with the discipline of martial arts. After the match they shake hands and congratulate each other on the game. There is a reason this is the top rivalry in rugby, over 100 years old now.
I am a South African that played club rugby, many moons ago. We would kill each other on the field and have an ice cold beer together 5 minutes after the game finished. Good times and good mates.
The two countries that always surprise us as supporters. On the field they are beasts but afterwards there's mutual respect towards the two teams! And as a Bok supporter I respect that!!!❤❤
South Africa has won 3/7 World Cups (43%) South Africa were not at the first 2 world cups due to sanctions (1987/1991). While New Zealand has 3/9. (33%). France 2023 (on right now) is the 10th World Cup
Full on South African Bokke supporter. I just wanted to add or note since I have a ton of respect for the All Blacks, it’s probably the matches that both teams and supporters looks forward to the most. What I wanted to just add though is the All Blacks have made us look terrible in some matches and usually get the win, they are a great team pains me to say and lucky for us they are slumping during the World Cup but should never be counted out. I will also note that the Springboks are usually always the most physical team out there we are generally the physicality test for other nations even when are in a slump one thing we never lack is physicality.
Springboks is the South African national rugby team All blacks New Zealand national rugby team These are international games between countries not local club competitions as your NFL Having said that even the club sides in rugby come out from the same tunnel and go back after the game down that same tunnel
Yo guys! Props to you for taking a watch. I’ve been a Rugby and Springbok fan my whole life. If you’re going to watch a whole game there are 2 games from the 2023 World Cup you have to watch. Both quarter finals and honestly are the 2 best games I have ever seen. 1st was Newzealand vs Ireland, an incredible game. 2ndly France vs South Africa. Honestly the best, most physical and fast paced Rugby I have ever seen…. Main difference between rugby and American football rules. 1 - you can only pass backwards. 2 - you can only tackle or make meaningful contact against the guy with the ball. 3 - if you want to chase a kick you have to start from behind the kicker. 4 - can’t play the ball if you’re off your feet 5 - you can only steel and opposition ball if you’re there 1st after the opposition is tackled and you stay on your feet. Lots of more intricate rule but if you understand the above you can follow 70% of the game in open play….
As a South African, I find it very interesting to get American view points on rugby. You commentary gives one a nice different perspective on plays. Just note, its known as a "red card" not "red flag" I would love to get your views on the Quarter final SA played against france and the semi final SA vs England
What's up guys. Here is some info for you guys. The Springboks(South Africa) is the current world cup winners. They won the world cup in 2019. The world cup is played every 4 years. Then rugby has a ranking system where teams are awarded points for games won etc. So according to these rankings South Africa is currently the number 2 team and the All Blacks are number 4. So this match was a warm up match for the world cup. This is why it was played at Twickenham (England).
Im a South African, we have utter respect for New Zealand, they are historically the team to beat have been one of the most dominant forces in the sport, we have a huge competitive rivalry and they are a great team!
It used to be said in Egypt during WWII that if a group of South African soldiers and a group of Australian soldiers met on a street corner, a fight would break out. If a group of South African soldiers and a group of New Zealand soldiers met on a street corner, a Rugby game would break out.
The main difference between this and American football is.... If you kick, only players that was behind the ball at the time of the kick can play the ball. (The kicker can run forward to put them back in play, if he passes them) [Off-side rule] You have to pass backward and carry forward. You can only tackle the ball-carrier. (You don't get to take out non-carriers) It's a beautiful team-sport. So much fun to play. These two teams are the greatest rivals, but they have the greatest respect for each other. It's very rare to see one of them win by a large margin, like in this game.
How can you say it's not fair. New Zealand is just as good as Springboks. I truly hope you guys have been watching the world cup. Just by watching you'll pick up on the rules. Love it when American's react to rugby. We'll convert 1 by 1. Go Springboks 🇿🇦💚💛
The thing with rugby is that it’s really a team sport, there’s no star of the show like a quarter back is, they fight in the pitch but there’s a real fraternity that’s happening across board and I’ve heard American footballers who are switching to rugby point that out, hence they are able to come out the same tunnel.
As a Springbok supporter I have to help you guys out a sec.. New Zealand (All Blacks) are the most successful rugby team in the world, we have huge respect for them. This rivalry goes back forever and South Africa is the most successful team against them winning a little more then 40% of the games these two have played together. NZ is just another beast and to beat them by this much was an amazing achievement but we know its going to be given back to us
Rugby is one of the favorite sports in South Africa , its an obsession if i can say. Country goes into a state of total dedication to the team once the world cup starts every 4 years. The term u guys looking for is called Scrum , thats when 8 players push against the opponents 8 players. In SA , we pride ourselves in seeing our boys doninate the physical aspect of the game. Its our pride thats on the field and thats how most South Africans see this sport.Hence the physicality.
That nr 14 you talked about is not Kolbi, he name is Arendse. The game has 2 halves, 1st half and 2nd half. Each half is 40 min long. The match is complete after 80 min. The red what you saw was that the first 40 min of the half is over and the game must stop and the players will go back to their restroom too a break, discuss there next strategy and so on. The reason why the half went further than 40 min was the ball must go dead, meaning if the ball is knocked on by player or kicked out in touch by player, ball is smothered in a maul or ruck and so on. The game will not be stopped by the ref while the ball is still alive so to say.
It's not a red flag. It's called a red card. Red card means the player receiving the card is banned for the rest of the game. It usually happens when there was head contact in a reckless manner (it could be for other types of reckless play as well). Yellow and red cards get reviewed in the 'bunker' ( a TMO ref reviewing footage of the offense) and can be upgraded or downgraded by the 'bunker'. A yellow card only ban a player for ten minutes. Red cards receive a 'trial' afterwards where officials decide on additional penalties (or even downgrade the red card). Additional penalties usually involve bans for a few weeks. There are many injuries and all these laws aim to alleviate injuries especially head injuries.
You need to see the 7/1 split with springboks and for the speed watch the player called Bryan Habana plays for the springboks too.❤ we love you in SA🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Just a heads up okes, you gotta watch that game in full. No other way around that. You watch it in full and it will reward you. Then set up a video asking questions or even interview a rugby fanatic, or even do a live stream and have commenters interacting with you.
Biggest game in the RWC 2023 coming up in 3 hours between Ireland (no 1 in the world) vs RSA (Springboks - no 2 in the world and current World Champs)...
A red card means the player is sent off, cannot come back on and cannot be replaced. A yellow card is when a player is sent off for 10 minutes and can then come back on.
These 2 Nation are amazing Yes there is rivalry on the Rugby feild . But we still respect each other. All South African consider New Zealand as their second team
Next Saturday at 9pm central europe time, these two legendary teams will have a showdown for the world cup final. These rivals pushed through once again to face each other to take their 4th world cup
great to see a genuine interest in learning for the enjoyment of learning. for such a brutal sport most of them are gentle giants. mates before the game. as wavecycle below, says, lethal violent adversaries for 80 minutes then shake hands, a slap on the back and have chat on the field after the game. true sportsman.
The fastest player , I think ever in every team , was Brian Habana. Your guys vids are awesome. Most channels show more of the youtube and not of the match. Nice one guys
All Blacks vs Sprongboks this weekend for a grand final. Please please PLEASE support the boks, they have worked hard to the bone for the cup this year. Really good sportsman too, ALTHOUGH both teams are awesome xxx
As far as the time question The game is 80 minutes no downs it's split into 2 40 minutes halves So when the clock reaches 40min mark the hooter sounds the when the ball goes out of play the half ends or the game if it's the second half However long the ball is kept in play after the hooter has gone is that extra time you saw on the clock So a team can effectively keep the ball in play by keeping possession and potentially still score even though the game time is over and the end of game hooter has sounded But once play is disrupted in that period the ref will blow the game as over Hope that helped
First thing about rugby is, there are no rules… they are called Laws. Great reaction and keep up the good work. The World Cup is happening right now, so you could do reactions to the highlights Love your work
Bok supporter here - SA may have won this, but there is HUGE respect for New Zealand in SA. And if you want to check out one of the greatest players, Jonah Lomu. RIP
These two teams, have just made it through to the Final of the World Cup, they will face each other again Saturday 28 October for the Cup, South-Africa is the defending champs... gonna be a BIG GAME.
Penalty: Normal rule infringement like high tackle Yellow card: aggravated penalty or dangerous play, man is off the field for 10 mins, can't sub Red card: clear dangerous play like to the head or intentional violence, players leaves game, no sub allowed
Great to see you guys digging the high lights but you should find the full World Cup 23 game and watch it through. I grew up in a bit of Australia where Rugby League is big. I reckon you'd enjoy falling down the "State of Origin" rabbit hole. Best League on earth.
Red card is for very dangerous play against the the head .that can lead to couple of games suspension. The yellow card is 10 minutes sitting on the side line for dangerous play but not so harsh. Michael forbes from cape Town South Africa
😂😂😂 yeah Springboks like the best rugby team ever! Dont let anyone tell you different. 😂😂😂 Be a while for you to get it but no point in watching highlights. You have to watch full games and from there should be able to get the laws of the game. It gets better
Number 14 is actually Kurt Lee Arendse is the same dude in the background of your close up shot. He is the one with the scrum cap. Regarding the red flag, I am not sure what you mean but if you referring to the time up on the clock, that is basically saying "This is the last play allowed to happen" The ball still needs to go dead before the play finishes. A clock being the red is indicating time is up but play isn't done unless the attacking team fouls or the ball is kicked out of play. Then the ref blows his whistle for time up. But it does mean that some games have actually been played for about 10 minutes in the red. Also the other idea with that is that we don't get a certain number of designated minutes at the end of general play for injury time like what happens in soccer, it is continuation and is decided effectively by the players. But if the attacking team continues to play and the defending team fouls, the game continues. It's usually up to the attacking team to decide when play ends but of course the defending team can attempt to intercept or turnover the ball or whatever.
Number 14 in this one is arendse. This weekend it's world cup final All blacks vs springboks. It took 28 years for it to happen again. You guys should watch it. It's going to be epic
A Try is followed by a kick and if the kick is successful they are awarded 2 more points. The closer they place the try to the pole, the better. The angle improves greatly when you place a try in the center under the rugby poles.
see how the numbers in the lineup are 1-8 than 9-15 in terms of size the 1-8 are Defensive linemen size the big boys. than 9-15 are built like running backs smaller faster guys.
This was a record win for South Africa against the All Blacks. We have often lost against them with those margins. The All Blacks are consistently the best team in the world, but they have gone through a dip recently. We are facing them now in the final and I'm under no illusion that it is going to be one hell of a match and the Springboks will have to give their absolute best if they are to win the World Cup.
Fun fact. My Father in law played Rugby with Ebens Uncles. With and against them. They were his bodyguard when they hit the night on the town. If you lived in our area, you did not fuck with the Eztebeths. True warriors.
Learn best when you watch it in order to comment& make an honest opinion. Im an AB supporter, but i can say congratulations to the Springboks well done.!
Let's see if the AllBlacks can go the 1/4 !mile..a lot to ask but whatever , win or ?? Not going there you have a job to do & there's a lot of support behind you.!! Kia Kaha.
You can't beat a team that plays with 7 million people on the field. We are there with our bokka they are our heart #UBUNTU #WEAREAFRICA# 1TEAM1NATION1GOAL
That’s not the same 14 😂 Kolbe usually plays 14 but the 14 here is Kurt Lee Arendse. No one owns the number in the Springboks. The squad is so deep that players can be swapped out or around at any given time.
South Africa faced New Zealand in the world cup & became the world champions AGAIN. The only country to never loose a final & the only country to win 4 world Cups 🎉
This was a match between the two greatest rugby nations in of all time🙌🏾 The All Blacks just won the #1 ranked team in the world Ireland and the Sprinboks just knocked out France the host out of the world cup...these two teams hope to meet each other in the 2023 world cup final on the 28 October 2023 in Paris Stade de France🙌🏾🏆🌍🏈🔥
Number 14 is Kurt-Lee Arendse but they can play in different positions, sometimes Cheslin Kolbe is at 14 (right wing) 11 is left wing. Love your show! Greeting Pretoria South Africa. Yellow card, not that serious (10 minutes in the sin bin), red card very serious off for the rest of the game. We just say McDonalds free meal (red&yellow!)😁
Springboks is also South Africa. You get 5 points when you're over the pole line its called a TRY. When you score a try the same team gets the penalty which is called a conversion and its 2 points. Proudly South African
The penalty system in rugby has three levels of seriousness. A normal penalty is awarded for general infringements, a yellow card is for more serious and deliberate infringements and on top of a free play for the attacking team, the player that's been carded is sent off for 10 minutes to the 'sin bin'. A red card is for the most serious infringements, like deliberate foul play, extremely dangerous plays and fighting (with fists). The player that gets a red card is sent off for the rest of the game, so that team has to play the rest of the game with one less player. Moreover, that player gets a two match ban and is often fined as well.
@LilJitBigDreamz - You are entertaining as hell,.. I'm a South African who once upon a minute ago was tryin to learn all bout that NFL , Checkdowns, Pick six,.. I'ma call and Audible,(A Bootleg...you dig...
