American Shad 2023 1st outing | Delaware River. 

Following the water temps and water level like a true river angler. 👍 Taking off from the wild life cam. Awesome! Now that's some good size shad. Nice catches boys! I can't believe you grabbed that lamprey. 🤣 I seen that mouth and said no way Jose. Always cool getting to see a #BALDEAGLE Those babies put up a heck of a fight nice job on the first outing.

That was cool seeing you take off from your home camera!! What's even more awesome is the fact that you can fish for american shad on the river you live by!! That was a good outing and it was cool seeing that juvenile #BALDEAGLE in the tree. It got through its first winter!!

Man you got great footage of the baby eagle! It's incredible how many are seen on the Delaware. I remember when it was a huge deal just seeing one, now you can tell their numbers have recovered. As for the shad deal, nice catch. It just feels early to me. I had caught a bunch of smallies last year before I started hearing about shad, this year I don't have a single smallie yet. I better get moving. You had some pretty good action for your first day on the river this year. A sign of things to come.

Great video, Chris. Downrigger and crankbaits got the job done. Cool to see a juvenile Bald Eagle. He didn’t seem to mind you guys too much. I saw the hashtag but I already have my bait from you so I’m gonna hold off on the competition. Haven’t thrown it yet but I haven’t been in the spots I need to be for it. I’ve been too deep on LSC or way too shallow in other spots. Soon though.

Pretty cool actually. It's always cool catching a fish with a lamprey stuck to it. Are you going to be doing that tournament again this year for them?
