I took my drivers test before I was even old enough to get my license, and I passed the first time I took the exam. I can confirm that the driving standards in America are quite low.
@@GaryBeary I live in the US, in my state I had to take drivers Ed for 2 weeks and once we pass the written dmv test, we can take the actual road skills test which is about 4-8 hours on the road
Lol this explains why 16 year olds in the US already have cars & pass first time. The practical tests clearly aren't as stringent as the UK ones (plus they pretty much all use automatic cars).
Its 2022. Wtf would you still use manual cars. Unless you actually have a fascination for it. I mean if your just looking to get from one place to another wtf would you use a manual car
AS an american in new york. my driving test was super easy. 15mins, make some left and right turns around the block, then parallel park. No highways, no complicated roads with crazy intersections. i felt so inadequate after getting my license. it's too easy to to pass in the USA, it seems so hard in UK. and most of us here use automatics.
Lol of course you're in New York 😂 drivers are also so crap in LA as well and the traffic is even more terrible!! I'm from SD but when I take trips to LA it's the scariest experience of my life no doubt
Yeah, US tests seem really easy, actually- too easy. I think its becuase of how you guys have so many young drivers due to the lack of public transport, thats why the standard has dropped so low and why you see most US drivers in automatics (theres other reasons for the automatic being the norm but thats one of them). In the UK, youve gotta know how to drive by the time you take your test, infact, anyone will tell you, the standard is higher during the test then it will be for driving after you pass. As annoying as that is for first time drivers, its a pretty good way to ensure a certain level of ability before you put people on the roads.
@@ousamalusasa8943 different road rules, different side of the road etc. It would be very unfamiliar to him as a UK driver. I remember I went to US with my parents and my dad found it super stressful to just drive there.
Joined the “watching for entertainment” club a few weeks ago, after passing my test with two minors. Used the Ultimate Driving Course to complement my lessons. It allowed me to make more use of the time with my instructor in lessons, as I already had the background of what we were doing. Definitely worth the £30, as it probably saved me lots of money in extra lessons! Thanks Pin!
In North America, before turning or changing lanes, we do something called the SMOG maneuver - signal, mirror, (over) shoulder check, go when safe. In the UK people do MSM. That’s why they had those issues. Also, as a person who has lived in both places, I can appreciate how tricky it can get to drive on narrow roads in the UK.
@@savannahduran8269 Let me guess, your american? We have the same cars, the same models and everything. Why would, lets say Ford, build two diffrent version of every car model so they can fit on european streets? Makes no sense at all.
A friend of mine passed his test in the States. He told me it was recognized worldwide when he came back to the UK. After watching this I'm glad I never had to get in a car with him!
Beautiful and incredible chemistry, I love this! I was laughing and smiling throughout this entire video. Pin, you have my favourite family on social media. I can imagine Brandon and Taz here too. You all are awesome and deserve the best. Thank you for this video. It really uplifted my day significantly. 🙂👌
In the US, we are supposed to use the turn signal first to indicate our intent to other drivers, then check mirrors/ blind spot that it's safe, and then switch lanes or turn. The traffic lights and roundabouts are set up differently, and spatial awareness is very disorienting seeing all of this taking place on the opposite side of the road and especially opposite direction on roundabouts! Jazz is hilarious in the back seat! I feel like she legitimately is a more responsible driver at home.
I'm pretty sure you're wrong and that it's always 'mirror, signal, manoeuvre' I've passed in both countries anyway so it's not too much of a big deal. Checking mirrors first definitely makes more sense though
@@jenniferlara2715 that makes no sense but yeah you're right. So you can signal without even knowing what's around you and then people get scared that you're gonna crash into them or you signal and then see there's someone there so you stop signalling lol
This wasn't just driving test this was driving comedy test, some times we need this specilly the ones who's test are coming up just to cheer them up and make less nervous, this is good for all. 🤣
@@JimiCanRead nice, hope you pass, and don't be anxious, just feel like you know it very well, I had my test I June 2018 and I didn't feel anything other then exited and I passed first time both theory and practical test in months time.
Don't worry girls you did ok considering the roads are tighter and we drive on the opposite side of the roads. I am only qualified 2 years and still get scared at roundabouts. And drivers here on roundabouts are aggressive.
@@hybridangel3403 Im down in Coventry i refuse to drive in brum its all construction and traffic. Have to take the train when navigating Birmingham now.
I don’t blame them for mounting a kerb/almost hitting a wall… driving in a right hand car when you’re used to driving left hand you’re gonna subconsciously drift closer to left/right depending on where you’re steering. They’ll get used to it after proper lessons and I’m sure learning manual will be a treat 🤣
It takes some getting used to, but something that has to be done quickly and especially if you already have your driver's license. Looking and driving is no different than with a steering wheel that is on the left, only you have to quickly see what you can and cannot do with your car in terms of size and space that you have to drive. Do wonder, if I had a steering wheel on the left, how I would drive in countries that drive on the left. How scary will I find that and will I succeed?
I passed my driving test on Thursday and a huge thankyou to this channel! Pin's videos have definitely made me more aware and my knowledge much greater when driving! I had to wait 18 months as I initially went to book in March 2020.. So thankyou again!
How has the first year been that is the year most drivers are likely to have incidents or accidents(and, often, not realize until later years that it WAS their fault although they may not think so at the time.) lol
Just want to say a massive Thankyou to pin, passed my test first time on Friday in pontefract. Whenever I was stuck I always used to come to your videos for help. The ultimate driving course made me understand so much more about driving and taught me so much and helped me develop skills for driving. Just want to say Thankyou, and keep up with the great videos, thanks pin👊👍
I've lived in the U.S. all my life and have known a few morons who (at times) will drive leaning back using only the left knee to control the steering wheel while drinking coffee, listening to music at full volume, and keeping one eye on the GPS - all while somehow simultaneously putting on full makeup in the mirror. No joke. I always got out at the soonest opportunity.
And also the roads being narrower in the UK too. One of the sisters said that they don't often drive on 'uncontrolled intersections' in the US, and the traffic lights are usually lower down, closer to the driver
This was up there as my fave video on thi channel.......i love thi channel as it teaches actual good habits and what to expect with a driving test.....but was really interesting / funny to see someone from another country try and do our driving test. dont stop doing the normal videos as they are golden in many ways, but id love to see the odd one or two of videos like these, that involve people who already drive/ have a license in another country, but try pass a mock test in england.....gives a good perspective of the differences and standards of each country etc
This is a great "what-not-to-do" for me, as an American, who's had a license for over 20 years, and is now looking at taking my UK driving test. There really is MUCH less head room in cars over here, and it makes doing head checks feel really challenging.
@@Warentesterwith head checks, the issue is actually not having the space to turn and look over one's right shoulder, at least in the household car. Also, I'm only 5'10" and it's not a terribly small car we have, but no, the idea of sitting literally with the seat on the floor doesn't sound more comfortable for driving on what feels like the wrong side of the car.
@@dfpguitar I do find it crazy that they sell gasoline by the liter here, but that aside, it's the way a lot cars seem to be made; without the headroom, or over shoulder clearance that I find odd and a bit frustrating. I drove a smaller car than the our current family car Stateside, but there was still space to turn and do an actual head check without bumping into the side pillar or window.
Many thanks for the videos, combined with my lessons they helped immensely I'm happy to say I past my test today!! Keep up the content pin you've got another sub!
another great video, love them. your cousins seem really happy, people you can spend all day with laughing and both very pretty. keep up the good work Pin ☺
I just passed my driving test 1st time with only 2 minors, thank you for these amazing videos they rlly helped a lot! Plus the ultimate driving course as well :)
At 24:30, You should of just given Khush an Advisory for this Pin, “You might want to practice not banging your head when checking your blind spot, before moving off”, 🇬🇧🤣👍🏼
This video was fab! The humour from these two girls was fantastic. You seemed to have trouble keeping a straight face to suit the formality of the mock test.
These girls are so much fun to watch, they mess up eachother and have a great relationship. My intructor was an old lady who couldn´t even wink during my test, she was quite serious about it, I wish I had him as my instructor :s
I just couldn't stop laughing. It was amazing clip so far . I really appreciate your hard work Pin and as update us by uploading your new videos does help a person like trying to pass driving test. I got my driving test on the 22nd December let's see what happens inshaallah. Thanks Pin
They're actually really good drivers; it's just that it's very difficult for Americans to drive in the UK because everything is very different. They are way better than me.
Loool , bs and driving on the otherside of the road is not an excuse , i know many people in the uk who drive fine in greece and their roads are narrow and they drive on same side of the road as Americans , theres not many barriers
Driving up kerbs, into walls and other vehicles isn't what I'd call a really good driver. If something is unfamiliar, slow right down, stop the laughing and distraction and concentrate thoroughly otherwise you can end up killing someone, like the woman who killed the young guy and ran back to America did.
How has the first year been that is the year most drivers are likely to have incidents or accidents(and, often, not realize until later years that it WAS their fault although they may not think so at the time.) lol
I passed my test first time last November and just wanted to thank you for your driving test videos as they helped me a lot (Did not take any lessons at all).
@@my2cents366 that has nothing to do with it. People like these should not be allowed behind the wheel. I'm sorry but I'd never ever be in a car where they're driving.
@@ibustanut They have learner license, never driven in UK. The roads are much more complicated and they probably are nervous be on a camera in front of audience. Fortunately for them, you are not the one who decided who can drive on the road.
Before I took my written test and a couple of mock tests this was literally me. As an American getting a driving instructor was the best decision I have ever made even though I've been driving since I was 16.
My sister learned in the USA in an Auto. So few seem to have experience on stick shift as they call it like the twins in the US. I am English and have driven all over the world through Europe, the Middle East, Australia, North America, Mexico and much more. The worse place for traffic and chaos for me was Thessalonkia in Greece, that was mad. I am amazed in the USA at the amount of undertaking and poor lane discipline, driving with food and drinks in your hand and poor handling of the steering wheel. Also all my US friends breathe in when you drive down cramped UK roads, they just are not used to the lack of space (Especially if you are from California). They don't really like traffic circles as they call them! Was a fun watch :)
I live in the USA. We are not strict on lane use here. Usually people turn left from the left lane and right from the right lane, but going forward nobody cares if you are in the left or right lane. They do not enforce faults if one is in the left (inside in the USA) lane too long.
Agreed, they were a menace on the roads and it wasn't just due to driving on the left. The pair of them thought the whole thing was a joke. Perhaps Pins mistake was having them in the car together? Would have liked to have seen a double episode, which each one having a mock test of normal length individually and see if they improved as they went on.
@@kevinmartin2516 I'd like to see UK drivers handle German priority-to-right rules (or not) and cruise though an intersection when a car is pulling out from the right.
Hooray!!! I passed my driving exam! Thank you so much Pin for every video I've been watching from you and learned few thinks that my instructor could forget to tell me. 😄😄💯

@@Isleofskye It was pretty good. Shorts of accidents happened around my property when I crashed my car around the garage gates. Never happened any other accidents around the public streets I was more caution around the incidents, except the low battery and leak of oil that caused my engine to smoke as hell.
@@FoxyFlare1 That seems ok FF. Obviously, you can mistake at any point in your driving career but they become less and less as you acquire more and more experience. After 43 years of London driving since 1980,I made a silly mistake on Tuesday Night. I rushed back to my car to beat the traffic after a football night match but in my haste, I could not see, properly, but did not want to wait as the traffic would soon have built up.. As I joined a busy road in heavy traffic,I could not see and stopped inches b4 a bollard separating the 2 lanes!!. In the car, you should have £10 for emergencies or petrol etc. Your phone if you break down. Water. Change for parking metres or supermarket trolleys etc, A towel to help clear the windows and a cloth and, ideally, keep your petrol nearly full as in Winter you might be low and not want to stop in the rain or snow or be able to if a Tanker is filling up. Good Luck.
@@Isleofskye I use diesel instead of gas which is cheap for me, I always handle at least 20 bucks with me and also repair tools with a spare wheel just in a emergency case but also aid kit. I have to check the oil pressure, the radiator tank and the fuel meter daily before taking off somewhere. Although thank you.
Last Tuesday, after many years of struggling and one failed test i finally passed with only one minor!! Thank you so much for the videos. I honestly don’t think i would have passed without all of your useful tips. By far the best learning channel on here! Also…………..WOLVES AY WE
Thanks for another video mate always enjoy them as always. Where abouts in the states they from? And didn't think anyone still used them desposible cameras anymore lol
When you are used to right side traffic and switch over to left side traffic your mental representation of then car and lane width is distorted. It can be hard to judge how close you are to other cars at times.
People can say what they want but driving on the opposite side is not easy. Also streets in the UK and Ireland are much more narrow so combined with being unused to judging distance from cars/ walls on the left it's a stressful time.
