I was invited to a preview showing of this. It is a very good movie. Especially right now when there are many many things to be upset and stressed about, this is a movie about Faith, never giving up, trust, leaning in to what your future is for. Go see it. It’s this years perfect feel good for Christmas Day.
Kurt Warner and the Greatest Show on Turf Rams was my first foray to NFL a non-American fan. I hope his story got released internationally because it's really an inspiring true story. I'm still in awe that an athlete I looked up to for so long came into life on silver screen.
It’s unfortunate he didn’t get another ring or two thanks to Brady and Big Ben. And instead only got a one and done. Both Super Bowls 36 and 43 were both winnable for him, but the team threw the keys away. Of course he did fumble in both games and threw a pick 6 both times as well. So he loses points in that regard.
I do remember that the St Louis (Now Los Angeles Rams) won Super Bowl 34 was very dramatic and we'll played on the field over the Tennessee Titans was 23-16 that's not forgotten.
Finally went to see this today. Very good movie with excellent casting and a message we need to take with us into 2022: there are no victims in life. Hard work and perseverance will get you where you want and need to go. Not the government, not lowered expectations, not free handouts at the expense of everyone else who’s out there working hard. Be your own damn hero.
The Cardinals got robbed by the Bountygate Saints that knocked Kurt into Retirement. Sorry Brees but I loved every moment they got shafted after that Super Bowl that was tainted.
@@boogitybear2283 for someone named Poker Joker you can’t be serious? You really think the Cardinals were going to beat the Saints. The game was 45-17. Kurt Warner himself has said it was a legal hit. Why? Because it was indeed a legal hit. Nothing tainted about the Saints Super Bowl. Were the Saints allowed to do illegal hits and get away with it? Nope. They got flagged just like every other team. Saints vs 49ers in 2011 when the famous Gregg Williams audio was recorded before the game. You know who got hit in that game illegally? Saints RB Pierre Thomas in a helmet to helmet hit that caused him to fumble the ball at the goal line. You can RU-vid it. He was knocked unconscious and had to leave the game. The 49ers didn’t get flagged even though it was a helmet to helmet. If the Saints were so dirty why didn’t they knock any of the 49er players out? I mean before the game Gregg Williams said if you kill the head the body will die. He said that right? But yet they didn’t commit any helmet to helmet hits. Why is that? Because it was a metaphor. Anyone who knows football knows bountygate was BS. I think what Gregg Williams was doing was childish and immature and there’s no place for that. However the hits were within the rules of the game so it doesn’t taint anything.
@@eltonmiguel5359 If the Cardinals had beaten my Steelers in the Super Bowl I would have been upset but I would have gotten over it because they were a moribund franchise they had not done anything since the '90s.
Should’ve won as well, I’m not a Cardinals fan and though I was too young to fully remember that game I mostly just felt disappointed afterwards. Between the pick 6, letting Larry score too fast and the defense unable to get a stop on that final drive. Warner fumbled in the end as well. Kurt should’ve also won 36, but he too threw a pick 6 and fumbled. IMO, him missing out on another ring or two in both winnable games hurts the most.
Anyone else notice when he walked into the coaches office wearing the ST Louis Ram Head on his sweater? That Ram head wasn’t introduced until 2000. The season after he had already WON the super Bowl
I don’t hate Warner, I thought he was quite good, but what I DO hate is that he couldn’t get one or two more rings. IMO both 36 and 43 were both winnable games for him, but the team threw the keys away in both with their turnovers. The only thing I deduct points from Warner in both games is his Pick 6 in each, both which should not have happened.
Many People Told Me About Kurt Warner Story. He Was Made Fun Alot, But He Never Lost His Faith, And Went To Become Two Time MVP NFL. Really Great Story And Can't Wait To Watch This Movie.
I will see this. Though I am not a Warner "fan", per se, I still told his story many times because I love how someone came from bagging groceries to winning NFL superbowls.
I live 45 minutes outside of St. Louis, but was only five when the Rams won the Super Bowl. It was my first experience in Sports and now I work in sports
I’m a St. Louis native. Sucks my team isn’t here anymore, but I still root for them. I still remember like yesterday the Rams stopping the Titans at the 1 yard line. My neighborhood went nuts. Can’t wait to watch this. I can’t believe I didn’t hear about it until now.
Kurt Warner could've won 3 Super Bowls but his team's defense dragged him down. Lost after a game tying td drive against NE and lost after a TD pass to Fitzgerald giving them the lead against the Steelers. My 2nd Favorite NFL player of all time behind Shannon Sharpe. I wish both of them played for the Dolphins.
My thoughts exactly. What could’ve been if he won 36 and 43 😥 Which he should’ve. Both were winnable but I too felt the team threw they keys away in both. Only thing Warner did bad in both was the two pick sixes.
you make a very good point. Kurt played in 3 superbowls and the last time he walked off the field at the end of the game in each he was leading. Ironic, that one more yard on the titans last play and he would have been 0 for 3.
Even if it wasn't a movie about my favorite QB of all time, I'd still be excited to watch it. Looks great 👍 Really excited for the Kurt Warner Cinematic Universe, hope Don Cheadle and Anthony Mackie show up as Larry and Anquan in the after credit scenes!
My TWO GREATEST SPORTS HEROS- STAN THE MAN MUSIAL and KURT WARNER!!!!! KURT IS THE REAL DEAL HES A BETTER MAN THAN HE WAS A FOOTBALL PLAYER , and he was an AWESOME QB I am privileged to have lived in STL and witness his amazing journey Stan the Man Kurt Warner PROUD to call them my heroes YOU KNOW WHERE I WILL BE CHRISTMAS DAY
Perhaps he doesn't "technically" have HOF level career stats. But for a 3 year span from 1999 thru 2001 till the hand injury that basically nullified the middle 5 years of his career he was the best QB who has ever played the game for any 3 year stretch of any QB that has ever played all thru till today. His 1999 season, more than anything else, single-handedly changed the entire way the NFL was played. One by one teams began to throw the ball more and more until we have the product we have today where running the ball is mostly an afterthought and the fullback position is all but forgotten. And when he was on passes did not miss by a pin prick. There is a reason those ram receiver got so many yards those year and it is because the passes hit the receiver in the hands on the run and safe from hits, absolute perfection and there has never been anything quite like it before or since. And he did it with a team that had accrued the most losses of the entire decade to that point. And then just for good measure after his hand injuries had finally healed properly, he decided to do it again.
Fair points. But he should’ve won 36 and 43. Of course his bad pick 6 in both games helped them only to lose. Brady and Ben prevented him from reaching his potential IMO.
Amazing trailer, but why does the uniforms look so cheap? That shot of the offensive line with their jerseys tucked out just screams violation. This film does have the backing of the NFL correct?
one of the best sports stories ever. Erwin brothers wouldn't be my choice, would have loved to have seen this done by higher level on the production side, but great cast
I was going to be an extra in this movie as a football player but I had to go to my friends birthday during the filming dates. My other friend is in it though as a line dancer. He’s the curly hair guy in the back at 0:54
They also show “Kurt” wearing a 2000 Rams logo on his shirt when he’s meeting “Martz” in 1999 at the opening of the trailer. Leave it Hollywood true stories. Hope this does well KW13 HOF
