Today we visited the Game of Thrones filming locations! There are a ton of Game of Thrones filming locations in Northern Ireland, and Game of Thrones Belfast tours are a great way of seeing them. Our tour guide, Bryan, gave some Game of Thrones behind the scenes info, as well as showed us the amazing GoT filming locations all over Northern Ireland.

I was thinking the same thing when I was editing! I think we've been around American accents for a while now, so that Northern Irish one sounds sooo thick comparatively. But back then, we had heard so many of them that it was just kind of "oh yeah, I forgot he sounds different" haha.

except that us locals are sick of tourists destroying the bregagh road (dark hedges ) i curse the game of thrones as its over touristed

Yeah, we were told how poorly those trees were doing when we were there. :( We were only there for about 5 minutes, and thankfully didn't do anything destructive or anything. I can see how they would be super sensitive to too many people though.

if you get caught by the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) parking on the dark hedges road (the tunnel of trees) you can be fined £1,000, or a court appearance, there are signs up saying this but tourists just ignore them as they mostly come up for the day on Republic of Ireland hire cars from Dublin.

They filmed Game of Thrones primarily (if not completely) in Europe. Most of the episodes are filmed in Northern Ireland, with pieces also being filmed in Croatia (King's Landing), Spain (Dorne), and Iceland (North of the Wall).
