It was a reference to a guy who pretended to ride a motorbike while making bike noises to make his friends laugh which went viral a few years before, which then crazy frog copied.

Probably worth mentioning the age of this episode, Crazy Frog was definitely old and not a particularly trendy thing to do, but it was fresh enough that everyone would know it and see it as lame. Which is the impression Jay is doing in the kitchen.

My very first boyfriend was called Mark Donovan! Our first date was at the school disco. My school was all girls, (a convent), taught by nuns and his was all boys taught by priests! So you can imagine we all used to go crazy being in the company of the opposite sex!😂 But we're not allowed to dance closer than 2 feet away from each other. Our next date was bowling and we definitely got closer than that! Happy days. Love your reactions

A note on British schools: its very common for students and teachers to refer to each other by their surnames, hence why the characters are interchangeably referred to as either Mark or Donovan, in the case of Mark Donovan. The same can be said for when Mr Gilbert refers to "Sutherland and Cartwright" when addressing Neil and Jay, and so on and so forth...

Interesting fact, well for me anyway, “FRIEND” is actually my friend. We sat next to one another in English lessons and produced skits in drama. We also played on the same hockey and volleyball team. He is now acting in the British drama Poldark

14:00 - that’s the bumper for the commercial break. In the UK, commercial breaks have to be more clearly defined so people know the programme isn’t sponsoring the products/services in the break. So they use end of part X/part X captions to act as a demarcation point between programmes and commercials.

'Mark Donovan' in real life is extremely educated, comes from a really well off family, is very respectable also. Its crazy how some people can pull off these types of characters. Inbetweeners is the best. It's my go to if I've had a crappy day. Love how yous enjoy it as much as us.

Same with me in the 70s,man.We did the short school tie thing & try to get the fattest knot,then in 78/79 it was turning the tie around and getting the smallest knot & skinny tie probably coz of "The Jam" or the "Two-Tone" stuff that was kicking in?😁

Ending tune, The Cure.... Classic Tune... Great review as always. You must review all of them, as it gets even more mental... The funniest thing is that the teacher who plays Mr Gilbert ( Greg Davis) was a teacher in real life. Could just imagine him being like his character in the show.

James Buckley who plays Jay is actually quite an introvert but is a nice guy. Blake Harrison who plays Neil is very well spoken and intelligent and again a nice guy. The other two I'm not sure about but I here are quite stuck up.
