This child is a Polyglot and not everyone have it. They’re fast language learner while we struggle learning 2nd or 3rd language. Yes some of the Filipino languages are mixed Spanish colonize for 300+ years. Although we have deep dialect words completely different from the common dialogue being use. Also for info Filipinos have 182 dialects and out from that dialect 7 considered languages. Therefore majority of Filipinos speaks 2/3 languages. NB: Much better to learn first the language to apply the grammar.

I’m multilingual and it’s easier for me to understand a language first before speaking. The reason is because the accents and pronunciation are sometimes a bit difficult to get correctly. Others may be different tho. 🤓

I'll roughly say what he said for the languages that I quite understood. Spanish- I think he said that he was somehow influenced by Jose Rizal (Philippine National Hero) because his books and writings are in Spanish and there are a lot of Spanish telenovelas being shown in the Philippines. He also said that there is a lot of similarity of Spanish and Filipino. Italian- he learned it from a friend in Facebook who teaches him the grammar and all that. He also learned it because it is very similar with Spanish. French- Also similar to Italian and Spanish Portuguese- He watched a music video in Portuguese and got interested in learning it. Also similar to Spanish. *He said that German, Dutch and Afrikaans are quite similar to each other Korean- introduced himself in Korean Indonesian- He said that it was quite similar to Tagalog in some way YBANAG- he said that it is a native language in the Philippines where only 100,000 thousand speaks it.

@RegenerationNationTV, a typical Filipino would already be multilingual by the time they finish grade school. First language would be your native language or dialect (see languages of the Philippines), second would be Filipino - the National Language, then third English - one of the official languages of the country, in government, education, etc. By the time a Filipino finishes High School (and much more so college) he would be already acquainted (or a degree of mastery) with Regional Languages, or that of other Philippine Provinces. So, in some ways, Filipinos would typically be polyglots.

He said in Spanish that there are plenty of Spanish words in the Filipino language because the Philippines was under Spain for over 300 years as a colony, thus our Spanish names and words we use.

She got a point, I’d like to conduct a research on that about learning languages. Whether it is effective to study first the language before merging to the group of people who can speak it or merge first yourself to those who can speak the language and then study the language 😅

It's much easier to understand than to speak the language you are learning.. Filipino to American English has a different subject verb agreement..the way you construct is so very different..that's the main challenge for learning a new language

Most filipino's knows how to speak at least three languages. We knows our language Filipino/Tagalog, our second language English and our own language in which province we're located. Because Philippines has more than 180+ language . Every Region and place in the Philippines have their own languages or dialect. Me for example knows 7 languages. ❤ Thank you for reacting to Filipino talents.😊

I also speak a few languages and I find that it is usually easier to understand it first. My eldest daughter speaks many languages too. At home we speak French and English and she also studied Spanish, Latin and Ancient Greek. She is also not bad at German and Portuguese. For some people learning another language is easier than for others. I find English very easy (French being my mother tongue) because there isn't much grammar to learn and it only took me a year to be almost completely fluent (but I live in London so it helps). Most people don't even realise I'm not British when I speak to them :) But please don't ask me about Maths!!!

I speak 5 languages and what I do is I learn how to read them first. Reading the words makes it easier. Then after that, you start putting meaning to each of the words you read. Then you understand how sentences should be constracted. Lastly, you practice it through speaking.
