My nephew came to SA for the first time a couple of months ago and yes the Lion question is serious for most Americans😢😢😢! He video called his friends everyday to bust soo many myths, he’s 19
@@seyisodanielmayekiso3252 You should know by now that Americans have the least knowledge when it comes to these things about us. Europeans, Asians and South America knows more about us than they do, but they'll catching up when it comes to knowing about us eventually.
I'm South African, too.I've learnt to understand that some black Americans aren't asking that question, due to being nasty. Some might,But,having visited the UK,it's very usual to come across a fox, moving freely outside the building,in the evening. Its not unusual to come across a coyote or a mountain lion outside your yard,in the US. Bears move freely in places like Canada and Scandinavian countries. Only people not like us,spread the rumours about Africa, just to undermine black people.
Is that lion question serious or was that the most ignorant statement in the histroy of history. 95% of South Africans have never seen a lion. Ever. This estate is named after a park in Tanzania another country. In the same way "New York" is named after "York" full name Yorkshire in England. One hectare is about as big as the surface area of a soccer/football/rugby/America football stadium. The South African black middle class is the second largest after the US black middle class in the world but I suspect they may live a more sophisticated and better overall quality of life than their black counterparts in the US. SA is easily the best black country in the world.
Agree with everything you said as a South African. Especially the last line. It's absolutely the best black country in the world. Some do don't even realise this. Plus our quality of life is better than black Americans at less cost.
In SA🇿🇦 we have 3 biggest cities which is Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. All these cities have the most expensive house you can ever think of. All of these cities have more than 1 Airport. You find millionaires in all 3 cities as well. Durban and Cape Town are built close to the ocean. Johannesburg is built inland.
Truth is South Africa will humble you on all levels...there is no other country in Africa like South Africa. The poverty in South Africa will humble you, the amazing and natural beauty of South Africa will humble you, the crime and corruption of the private and government sectors will humble you, the warm, creative and vibrant people of South Africa will humble you, the financial/monetary wealth of South Africa will humble you....South Africa will humble you in ways you won't believe....do yourselves a favour as Black Americans, come see and experience South Africa for yourselves...you'll thank South Africans later. :)
I'm South African living in New Zealand and I still get dumb questions like "do you live around lions " and I just laugh it of 😅.....it's funny because if many of them had to see our lifestyle back home, they would fall on their face 🤣 😂
from 380k usd in SA you get a 5 bedrom mansion on a golf estate with built in Cinema, a gym, about two or 3 entertainment areas swimming pool, office, garage for 4 cars or more. a garden. maids quotors etc . the funny part we don't have wood houses .all is concrete and bricks . strong houses that can withstand any weather for cencuries. fact johannesburg is two times bigger than new york but has a population half of new york
In South African villages, you can still find a hut but a big house will be next to that hut. The hut can be used as a kitchen or for traditional ceremonies❤🇿🇦
Joburg does have a few game parks in Krugersdorp and Pretoria where you can go on game drives to see lions and other predators plus various other animals.
@@Fauxkat69 Krugersdorp is under city of Johannesburg. Its the West District. Joburg City has North , South ( Emfuleni if I'm not mistaken , East ( Ekurhuleni )and West Districts. You're right about Pretoria but I mean its just 20 minutes outside of Joburg. When you're in Joburg you are only 30 minutes away from the nearest game farm and safari experience and there are tons of them from luxury to maybe 3 stars.
There's way too much estates in South Africa especially Johannesburg, I live in one called Ruimsig country estate in Johannesburg West, but my dream is to have enough money to buy myself one in Steyn City
RCE is a beautiful estate. Amazing real estate , mountain views , a few minutes from the Walter Sisulu Botanical gardens and lots of amenities around the area. Plus they are extending the Gautrain to the area.
1 hectare = 2.4 acres. So if Eye of Africa estate is 800 hectors that means in American language it would be 1 976 acres. Here in South Africa we use Square meters to measure a small plot of land then we move to hectares when measuring large estates.
White folks been getting in and out of south africa, they knew this loophole for a long time, m happy for black americans, europeans to c this kind of info
The Serengeti is in Tanzania for the record, the estate is just named after it. The comment on the lions was next level though. In SA wildlife are contained to National and game parks, and private reserves, point is they're kept in. In the US on the other hand you have bears, wolves and whatever else wondering through backyards like its normal, you're the ones living in the wild, not us.
This comment is absolutely true. These American people go to build houses in the wild that’s why the keep complaining of bears, raccoons etc. but In Africa we have a reserve for wild life and settlement for humans to live in so if you want to see animals you have to go to the reserves.
South Africa is really slept on....We have 9 provinces (states), 4 with a coastline and each province has its collection if residential estates. Check each province and its best estates🙌
First time I see this channel down to earth people they dont even look down on other countries be of them being african american I'm in love. Mansa Mayne so love South africa you guys will have to visit Mzansi some day... Mzansi let gather here an give this video over 500k please please
I'm a south african born and bred here, this year I'll be turning 60, I once saw a lion in 1982 when i was still at school, we went on a school trip to the game reserve, and I grew up in rural areas, never saw lions except when we saw them at game reserve, many black people never saw it but I believe many white people saw it coz you need to have money to go there.
I appreciate the honesty of this video❤ yes as Africans, we don't like the lion situation but we can't blame the citizens of America for that. Thank you for searching and reaching out for more info ❤
The Serengeti they mention here is the name of the estate,it's name after the national park or safari park in Tanzania which is another country , it's like the Chevrolet Tahoe SUV named after the lake Tahoe
Good thing is that our brothas and sistaz over there are gradually getting to uncover the truth about not the Africa, but the world too, and especially, the USA.
The most expensive houses in Johannesburg are not even in those 5 estates. If you go to places like Houghton you will find gigantic mansions with very big land. Thats where people with old money live.Parkhurst, SandyHust, Branson North and so on . remember this is one city Joburg not the whole country. In joburg if you are just renting for long term it doesn't make sense to rent a furnished apartment. Because most gated communities are cheap to rent. A two bedroom apartment unfurnished is going from $500-$1000. upwards and you decide how much you want to spend on furniture depending on your taste. You want a golf Estate country estate, etc. rent is the same unless if you want to rent above the top designer lifestyle and that means furnished . What you will find in SA that will surprise you is the malls .how they build them to be a one stop shop. You will find 3 to 5 banks in one mall. At least 3 grocery supermarkets, food courts, cinema, furniture shops, pharmacies. Offices, now even hardware shops, doctors office, post office, anything you can think of in one place. One stop shop. In SA we don't do skyscrapers .we built malls. Even in the last rural area of SA you will find malls there. Fact Johannesburg has the biggest man made forest in the world .millions of trees in Johannesburg. Everywhere is green . The south Africans who never traveled never notice that but it's a fact. The air quality is completely different. The food quality is completely different. You won't get bloated stomach when you eat our food. That is the first thing you will notice in SA . We don't have too much sugar and chemicals in our products. Even our eggs you will find them on shelves in supermarkets not in fridges. The government has quality standards when it comes to food. The government charges sugar tax if a product has too much sugar than what the government quality allows. It takes time to notice these things but quality in SA levels. I've been living here for 24 years and I traveled over 30 countries.
Not only are d mansions in south africa more leisurely and bigger fr d same price as d US but they are also stronger cz dey aint made outta wood ..dey made out of cement, concrete n pillars
South Africa has some of the best real estate on the planet let alone Africa…these are just the estates you should see the northern suburbs- Sandton, Houghton and others …old money.
My Sisi and Brother. Animals are in Game Reserves, they do not live in suburbs, towns, townships or villages where human live. Wild Life conservation creates large parks where animals are protected. Like the Serengeti is a game reserve in Kenya and Tanzania. The largest game reserve in South Africa is the Kruger National Park, it a as big as the state of Connecticut. So, to visit and see animals you have to drive to a game reserve. The whiteman messed up your minds about Africa, please don't think Africa is what the Tarzan movies showed you. To my Sisi, the earth is divided into 2 segments, by the Equator latitude. Those in the Northern Hemisphere are like North America and Europe, Russia and other Caucases. South Africa is in the Southern Hemisphere, so are other many countries. If its Winter in the Northern Hemisphere that means the earth is tilted to the south (Summer) and vice versa. Forget all the nonsense the Whiteman taught you, 90% of it is propaganda.
South African here. So we have more wildlife than most other places, but you hardly ever encounter things like Lions Cheetahs, Leopards... If you ever do (yes, sometimes it happens) it is generally because it escaped from a game reserve... Like where I live there have been a few times where the elephants broke out and started roaming neighboring farms... A Cheetah also broke out and took a stroll next to the highway. We also have cheetahs roaming our mountains where I live (Gardenroute), but you never see them. There are areas where encountering wildlife is more common, like the KZN province. My wife grew up there on an estate and many times there were hippos and crocodiles on their lawn. It is very common to see farm animals next to roads, like cows, sheep, goats... You also see buck often, some estates actually keep wildlife on the estate, like buck and Zebras. South Africa is an amazing place. It really isn't as dangerous as the media makes it out to be. A lot of crime is generally concentrated in certain areas and are easily avoidable. As a 33 year old, I've never been mugged or anything like that. As Americans coming with Dollars here, you'll have a blast for next to nothing. You should definitely make a stop here, and be sure to checkout the Gardenroute (It's been recognized by NatGeo as one of the most scenic routes to drive in the world.)
We've got more than 20 Estates I know of in South Africa n in other countries like Zimbabwe there really great properties even in Mozambique, Botswana n more African countries
You can find huts next to houses in the rural areas. They’re used just like how Americans would use a basement or attic. Storage, a teenager wanting their own space would stay there, putting a guest in there or an extra kitchen for events. We don’t have basements usually so it comes in handy as an outhouse
So it is definitely all relative. In South Africa, a decent 3 bedroom family home in the suburbs is about $100,000 on average. These homes here though are therefore for the wealthier people. Incomes in South Africa is therefore relative to all of that. So it seems cheap in terms of US dollars but it is not in terms of South African Rands and spending power. Also in general, in South Africa, homes and land isn't as pricey as the US even in relative terms. So a lot of overseas people live here because they get a way better lifestyle than what the same money could buy them in their home countries. But that is only if they come here and continue to earn USD.
Sorry to criticize, but I feel like these guys just say stuff and don't do research. All these Estates featured here are new and are not the most luxurious . They also mistaken Dainfern Estate as Steyn City. Serengeti is not in Johannesburg, it's in Ekurhuleni (East Rand). These Estates are new, younger people(new money) are buying here to build their dream homes and all. Just in the north of Sandton, suburbs such as Bryanston have some of the most exclusive and private Estates with house far more luxurious and expensive than any of these.
I like what you said , that it is one country ,showing a few areas... I live in Limpopo , part of South Africa, we have some dope areas too, but even to this day some south African don't know of our dope areas , they only know our rural sections.
THAT'S A FIRE REMIX AT THE END 😂❤🇿🇦 Africa has a lot of hidden gems such as this, if you ever get a chance to visit, please do it. We would love to yave y'all. P.s Her love for Sibiya Sibiya is hilarious 😂 she said "i know them little legs" and I cracked
The Republic of South Africa has the second largest number of Estates(gated communities) in the World, second to the USA. We rival America in that area. Convert hectares to Acres next time. Square meters to square feet. A Stand is what you call a Plot. Remember, this video is talking about Estates in Johannesburg which you call "Gated communities" in America, but there are other great Gated communities or Estates in the City and there are great suburbs which are not Gated communities or Estates which are very rich in the City of Johannesburg. The Republic of South Africa is the most developed Nation and has the highest number of wealthy people on the Continent of Africa. Come visit sometime when you can guys, you'll love it.
There are no lions where we live😆✋i was born and bred in Johannesburg South Africa,i have never seen a lion roaming around in my life, only in the Zoo😣
If you convert amounts to dollars seem cheap but average South Africans don’t afford this houses almost 70 % of the population don’t afford this estates houses even American or Foreigners will need monthly cash flow to afford the monthly levy charged.
Serengeti is a national game reserve in Tanzania. And i completely understand if it triggers thr lion question, but u can be rest assured you wont encounter a lion unless you go to the zoo or to a lion park or something.
Isifiso sami ukubona abantu bahlukana ne South africa phansi , ningenzi ama video ningakhulumi nje ngathi vele asiyi thandi i attention yoh hluka nani nathi
The only place in South Africa that you would find a car garage like that is in real estate. The crime here is so bad, you would never dare make a garage like that in a normal house. Especially in the townships of or even city houses
SA has some of the most beautiful residential properties globally. The USD and its market is overinflated, it isn't worth what it cost in terms of our currency.
Probably only about 5% of the mind country has seen a lino, and that's in captivity. The chances of encountering one roaming around are one in a million.
To see animals in South Africa you go to controlled safari if not the zoo but this are far from living areas. Another fact is Africa is not the same as South Africa…… u guys need to learn the economical and development differences of different african countries. Serengeti is another country 😮
The funny thing is South Africans also have an American mindset of thinking the rest of Africa is poverty-stricken with nothing to offer. We know less about our continent because we are too ignorant and only care about our nation.
The ignorance though...we have no lions or any wild animals in our background guys. We have Zoo's and enclosures where the wild animals roam and live i.e. The Kruger National Park
Everytime I see a video of the Hamptons I'm always wondering when the gators are gonna show up or when the bears are gonna attack people in Beverly Hills. Don't even get me started on the wolves in Palm Beach Florida. It's a mystery how Americans get anything done😂😂😂
I enjoyed the comparison to what that compares to properties in America. At the same time...I must kick myself because I keep thinking the ignorance in America has improved...but I always get shocked each time on how high the ignorance is.
