Messi is without a doubt the GOAT. He is 34 and is easily still the best footballer around thats not even fair. The man can do anything with the ball at his feet. Also I support Chelsea and I hate Barcelona but as a football fan I can't help but admire the way this man plays football. It's just beautiful and unstoppable.

I respectfully disagree. There is no goat. You can't compare positions and different eras. Messi was surrounded by world class teammates throughout his career. He never won a worldcup with one of the best football nations, something Maradona and Pele did. Also once Xavi, Iniesta and Neymar left he didn't win a championsleague anymore either. Most of his club accomplishments came because he was on one of the most overpowered teams from 2005 until 2015.

@@thegoat06what do numbers mean if it doesn't win you a world cup. Look at pele's numbers. Look at Maradona's numbers. Look at Romario's numbers and look at Lewandowski's numbers. They all put up numbers but there is no goat. The only goat is the goat in your name. And also you just proved my point, his numbers are great because he played with insane teammates throughout his career. Even though he plays for Argentina with great players he scored only 75 goals and never won anything. Lewandowski played much less games for Poland for example on a worse team with a much worse offense and scored just 6 goals less. Numbers mean absolutely nothing.

Yes he had some world class players but alot of the Argentina squad was not that impressive. Yes sure he played with some of the best but even after they left he continued to put up numbers that no one can compete with. You can't expect a player to do it alone especially in a sport like football. Disregard his balon dors, his goals, assists ect and just watch him play and you can see he is the most talented player to ever grace a football pitch.
